All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.

This is the kind of movie you watch if you just want to laugh. It's the movie you see when you have a bunch of friends over on a Friday night and you want to unwind. Will it win an Oscar? Not a chance, but it isn't horrible. The plot is pretty transparent and some of the acting is meh, but it's watchable. This just isn't the kind of movie that a critic even has to review, in my opinion. It'll never win over a critic who takes themselves too seriously. I agree with another reviewer that said this movie tries a little too hard to be funny, but you end up having a really great time watching it. It does have hilarious moments that make it worth watching.

This was very enjoyable & Worth all money to watch. No real masterpiece or a great script, but a solid plot & a lot of fun. If you JUST want to enjoy a film & have a nice time, this is pretty good. certainly deserves more rating than this! After seeing the ratings I avoided this film for a long time. But after some friends suggesting it, I thought to give it a try & Bam! I'm very pleased That I did. At least deserves 6.5 ratings. Tired of all these "critics" who act as if only Oscar nominated movies that are inspiring and touch your heart can be considered good. This was a great watch. If you don't understand the definition of joy or doesn't like fun without reason, You're that type of serious person, Just don't watch. Giving low ratings Is a unfair move. This was a funny one & I recommend to anyone within age 12 to 30. Even others, If You're of the kind.

Fist Fight is exactly what I hoped for, over-the-top comedy about a ridiculous situation with plenty of one-liners. This type of film is the bread and butter of comedies. And it works well, despite what critics need to say about it. Forget about all that high-brow analysis and have some fun with this movie.Charlie Day's Andy Campbell is well-meaning, but he's a wuss in every conceivable way. Ice Cube plays the tough, intimidating "scared-straight" teacher at the school. Sparks break out between the two, and Ice Cube's Strickland (a nod to "Back To The Future?") turns out to be the character with the most surprises. Charlie Day is enjoyable as always as a ranting, stressed out English teacher who's way, WAY out of his depth with the fist fight and trying for most of the movie to get out of it. Rounding out the cast are the great Dean Norris (Breaking Bad), Christina Hendricks (Mad Men), the always funny Jillian Bell & Kumail Nanjiani, each of which are given plenty of funny. Tracey Morgan may fall the most flat, but his part doesn't give him much to do but complain and be the butt of a prank. The students are the real antagonist here, although it could be seen more as Campbell is his own antagonist. Either way, too much analysis gets in the way of enjoying big entertainment value, especially as the fight looms closer and closer. If you like the low budget, high-talent, low-brow comedy, Fist Fight should be on your watchlist!

I can't believe I watched the whole movie. Frankly this movie sucks. The story in itself is very poorly written, no plot just random pranks, filled with the unwanted use of abusive language. Acting was also not good. Better to skip this one in my opinion.
