When her mother falls for a wealthy man, Lina Cruz must move in with her new stepfather and transfer from an urban East Los Angeles public high school to an exclusive prep school in Malibu, where she struggles to fit in with her affluent new peers. After snooty cheerleading captain Avery blocks Lina from varsity, Lina recruits her best friends from her old school to help her whip the pathetic junior varsity cheerleading squad -- the Sea Lions -- into fighting shape.

it is finally so absorbing because it plays like a lyrical road odyssey that’s also a detective story.

An old-fashioned movie made with new-fashioned finesse.

I am older than most of the people giving reviews. I was a cheerleader and I had two daughters that were also cheerleaders. I have enjoyed the movies until I got to this one. It irritated me so much in the first 15 minutes I nearly didn't watch the rest of it. Terrible acting was of course, the first thing I saw. But my biggest turn off was injecting rampant sexuality into everything. Here is the message: You weren't a good cheerleader until everything you did simulated sexual moves. The younger generation often doesn't recognize it or care. But talent is talent and adding sex to everything to make it a "winner" is stupid. It reminds me of the junior high toilet humor in movies because no one can think of anything better. So to get these stupid "stereotyped" white girls to get with the program, they must get together with the "stereotyped" Latinos of the poorer section of town and they are going to teach them how to bump and grind and then they can do their cheers better. They can be sensual and that seems to be the goal here. I have watched a lot of competition cheer leading and this was awful. Both sides of the coin, the whites and Latinos ought to sue the movie company for teaching the movie goers lies about their community and their heritage.

As a fellow All Star Cheerleader review I found this movie one of the worst cheer movies ever! The cheerleaders were more like grinding and not cheering for one thing, and also portrayed cheerleaders like slutty witchy girls. As the years of Bring It On movies go on and on, the acting, plot lines and everything gets crappier and crappier, no doubt they will make another crap Bring It On movie, but this one will have to do with one of the worsts so far. This one happens to be Christina Millan's character from LA gets an AMAZING opportunity to live in Malibu and acts like a total snob about how she doesn't want to live there and acts witchy to everyone and about everything, she dresses trashy throughout the movie in skimpy and inappropriate clothes. ALSO this movie had horrible Lation accents and the movie also made very degrading and almost racist comments. If you do See the movie, you will see what I mean...

So I rented this movie for fun...just to kill time. Never thought I'd find it pretty interesting. But maybe it's because I'm into dancing too, and cheer leading is...some sort of it...but it's a sport. The movie starts out hot and stays that way throughout the whole movie. There are some slow parts, but it's because it's a chick flick. Expect there to be.Dances are amazing, so are the cheer practices that they have every now and then. Acting I would have to say is pretty okay. I didn't know that Christina,a real beautiful woman, shows lot of culture in this movie. Her acting is actually okay. Holland Roden's acting was astonishing, from being a geeky nerdy cheer girl she transforms into a confident and comfortable lady. Nikki SooHoo is hilarious. I love her character and especially her voice in this movie. We all gotta know that in the end this movie is just made for fun. I read the other reviews on here saying "It's an insult to Allstars". This movie is fictional. It would be boring if the rules weren't broken and it was just how you normally do cheer competitions. For the guy that said "I'm not a big fan of these so-called genre movies. They are pretty predictable...girl tries to be popular-" blah blah blah....why watch it in the first place? Go watch....300. >.> Anyways, if you're into cheer leading go watch it for fun sense and not for reality sense of cheer leading. If you're curious about the film, give it a shot. It's a chick flick, I warn you right now. It'll make you smile. If you don't care about the acting and just a fun person. GO GO GO! Everyone's got an opinion about something. I got mine ;) I give this movie a 9 out of 10 (For me...not for you :D) Oh and Cody Longo is HOT! Haha that's my two cents. Peace!

This movie was the best of all. I like all of them but the moves in it and the dances are hot. No, it may not be like the first one but all the bring it on's are different in there own way. I love this one! They did a good job in everything. If your a cheerleader and want to learn some new moves this would be a good movie. I love the Latin feel to it. My husband even loves this movie which says a lot laugh out loud. He even gets up and dances when he can. To me this movie is a ten. The actors are hot and the soundtrack to it makes great to dance to. The movie was not underdevelopment they did a good job. "Sky" was acting the way a cheerleader would who gave up on cheering. If you want to watch a fun and great movie with hot music and dances this is the movie. It is awesome.
