It's not great by any means, but it's a pretty good movie that didn't leave me filled with regret for investing time in it.

One of the best movies of the year! Incredible from the beginning to the end.

There's no way I can possibly love it entirely but I just think its ridiculously bad, but enjoyable at the same time.

I'll start by saying there's nothing wrong with the acting. Acting is the least of this movies' worries, and that's kind of saying something. The way the movie was executed was extremely poor. Things aren't fully explained, and the movie likes to go back and forth between the two parallel universes as well as jump back and forth between past and future. (Which was completely unnecessary!)First person shooter POV was a horrible idea, but I don't think I need to add on any more complaints this movie has already received.Even the most action-y parts of this film were boring. I really don't suggest watching this unless you have nothing better to do. I'm an extremely lazy person but the movie was so bad that I went out of my way to write this review.

This seemed like a crappy home-made movie of the Imitation Half-life 3 preview kind. The Portal into the sky and the fps view from the protagonist a la Gordon Freeman. The only thing missing was a Strider or two and of course the G-man. If the writer wasn't a huge Marc Laidlaw fan I would be seriously surprised and I would expect that Gabe (heart attack imminent) Newell has watched this and slammed the remote control down in disgust that this travesty bother to take just about every aspect of his Half-life 2 Universe. If I wanted this sort of action I would have just powered up my PC and loaded STEAM. Valve must know of this movie or maybe they are in Cahoots! Blehh!

Actually the premise is pretty good. Special effects, cgi first rate but acting, especially the female lead - terrible. Impression I got was similar to a YouTube video shot with a GoPro. Jerky, not very illuminating and really distracting. The idea of an echo universe "created" but devoid of all life is interesting I guess, but surprise, it is a duplicate including all the bad actors. Oh and script! Did I mention dialog was really lame?? And "scientific" explanation for how the universe works supposedly by a world-renowned physicist was so lame a first physics major would know better. Story would have been better without the pseudo science explanation, well commercial really. All in all, even as a sci-fi fan I had a hard time watching this. If one has nothing better to do I suppose one could kill 2 hours but think I would rather play online poker lol.

OK, the idea is not bad, but the directing is ... well, awful would be an improvement. All the deceased bodies are straight, no bent legs, just the arms are up or down. The main character's acting was decent enough, but the rest is bad, mostly unrealistic. Not as bad as an Steven Segal late period movies, but it's close. The CGI effects are not quite updated. The "remembering" scenes are badly written, especially towards the end.
