It’s an especially fun movie from a director and cast who are clearly having a good time allowing themselves to let loose.

This story has more twists and turns than a second-rate soap opera.

The film creates a perfect balance between action and depth of basic needs, in the midst of an infertile atmosphere.

It's rare that a series stays as true to itself as Eureka did. With a perfect wraparound beginning and end and stories that entertained even when taking a turn at many a tried and true idea, this show was a perfect combination of hardcore scifi and goofy, sit-com humor.Okay, maybe there were times the schtick was a little thick, and maybe a few of the later episodes were a little too afternoon soap opera, but there was always the offbeat scifi disaster in the offing to take us away from the mundane pretty quickly. Plus, even though there was plenty of beauty and manliness on the show, there were no sex scenes. (Hey, we know that people have sex, right? Do we need to see it fake-performed? Uh, no.) So, comfortable to watch with young children and parents. The actors were fantastic, holding it together even when the lines were pure science fiction balderdash, almost a parody of themselves, but if you like sci-fi, you're able to accept some unbelievable concepts, especially in a town full of geniuses. Most all of the actors remain busy in their careers post-Eureka, as well they should. I don't watch much TV nowadays, so even if I miss them in their current works, I'll be seeing them again in Eureka as I watch the series again with my son.

Love the show. Just wish they had done 5-7 more seasons and the a movie. When's the movie coming then??? We gotta see what happened to the town and people. I do hope they do a movie, would love that big time. I got all 5 seasons and would buy the movie as well if they made it. Hope you see a pattern here about making a movie. Hope the actors and actresses are doing great, just wishing that they will make a movie. Begging and pleading that there is a movie to be made. It's just a pity that each season was short. Loved the fact that the show was funny, but had some seriousness at same time. The only thing is they use the same main actors and actresses.

This show is not realistic. It also sacrifices common sense for fun. Sure there are plot holes and continuity problems. And Ed Quinn is awesome so him leaving kind of sucked. Still the show is what it is a nice 45 minutes (now on DVD) of fun. You know they are going to solve the problems and everything is going to turn out mostly OK. There is a bit of an edge to the show but no fully evil villain. The best part is the actors and their characters. I have not watched a show in a while where I cared about where the story went as much as this one. Like Firefly the main cast is well developed very quickly. However, here the development is allowed to continue. We see the dark side of Henry and while Stark starts off as a sort of villain, he becomes one of the best characters in the show. The show isn't going to really make you think. The science in the show is sketchy and borders on fantasy because it is so implausible. If this bothers you than you probably are not going to like much mass produced science fiction/fantasy. Still the show does not take it's self to seriously and that is the magic. It was an entertaining show that I wish could have lasted longer.

I just read that the series was canceled. This is one of my favorite things to watch on Hulu when I am in Alaska. I save up the series to watch non stop when working in my cabin on cold rainy days. The series is a dramedy to me. It has some great comedy, with drama mixed in, and the series does not take itself too seriously. One of my favorite all time TV shows. Episodes are believable for a Sci-fy show. Nothing seems totally out of the reach of possibilities. The show is the perfect blend of the futuristic science and day to day personal contact issues. Melded into a great interaction amongst the cast. I will sorely miss this series. I have looked forward to it for several years now. The show is near perfection for a TV show.
