The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one

Every other year I watch this film. It is a fun ride. It is original. The acting is well done for all actors. It is good to have such good film in your back pocket for when you are bored. There is suspense, action, cleverness. In this day and agent it is so easy to write films with plothole but this one is simple and works. Good job.

This a very very on the edge movie. Personally I would have had to rate it a number 10 . It was one that caught my attention through the whole movie ! Wish they had more like this one !I would watch another one like this any time !Hailey played the part like a real live operator. She was so calm through the calls and her attention with the people were so real life !

I must say I was impressed by this movie. It was like a reality movie into the daily life of a call operator. Halle Berry is an emotional call operator who faults one of the laws of the occupation- to be emotionally detached. When she gets a call from a distraught girl who was later killed, she beats herself up for it. Six months later, she had to help another girl who was kidnapped from a mall escape from the trunk of the car where she'd been kept. I enjoyed this movie. The first part was quite realistic and touching. Abigail and Halle did their part well. But then came the unrealistic second part. I get that Halle is emotional and feels connected to her callers, but not to the extent of driving all the way to the crime scene. It was Just convenient that she finds the trap door not the police. And why didn't she call the police? These loops in the movie made the second part less enjoyable. But I'll definitely recommend this movie.

I'm old enough to remember Halle Berry as a teenager on "Knots Landing." She's morphed into an old-fashioned Hollywood star -- a wonderful actress, beautiful, and glamorous. I don't think she's gotten the roles she should have since her Oscar win, but in "The Call" she gives a full-throttled performance.A young girl, Casey, calls her from the trunk of someone's car. Jordan fights to keep her wits about her and Casey's as there is an attempt to figure out where she is (it's a burn phone) and identify the kidnapper. It's a life or death situation, and your heart will be in your throat every second.Very exciting, suspenseful, and thrilling movie that towards the end becomes more like a horror film and is somewhat of a let-down. During the film we not only learn some incredible techniques to use when in danger, but we also learn how a 911 operator works and under what conditions.I don't want to give away the end, but though I loved this film and thought everyone was terrific, the ending deviates from the realism that has been set up previously.Abigal Breslin does an amazing job as Casey; you pull for her every second. Michael Eklund as the villain is sensational; Michael Imperioli from "The Sopranos" appears in this, as does Roma Maffia from Nip/Tuck. Gorgeous Paul Chestnut plays a police officer involved with Jordan. This is the first film from this studio, WWE, that has ever been nominated for an award. In fact it was nominated for 11; Eklund won a Leo Award for Best Supporting Actor. It's a beginning. Let's hope this studio continues onward and upward.
