... View MoreThis movie feels like it was made purely to piss off people who want good shows
... View Morewhile not quite as good as the first one it was still pretty great, not as gory, and actually somewhat funny (in my opinion, maybe I'm weird, lol ) it does follow up on the original pretty good, if you're a fan of part 1 you should watch this one, I am glad I didn't pay for a ticket at the theater but still one of my favorite horror movies
... View MoreHaving absolutely despised the first JEEPERS CREEPERS when I was unfortunate enough to see it in cinemas, it was with a heavy heart I sat down to watch this, the sequel. However, for the sake of completeness I forced myself to go ahead with it, even though I was expecting the worst. At least I wasn't wasting money to see it this time, as I caught it on TV. To be honest, I still can't understand how Victor Salva is working in Hollywood; why he's earning a living from this material. He's directed terrible movie after terrible movie and yet they still give him budgets.I was still wasting two hours of my life. The one good thing about JEEPERS CREEPERS 2 is that it's a slight improvement on its predecessor. There's even less of a story to this one, just an action-focused scenario about a group of teenagers stranded on a bus being attacked and killed, one by one, by the demonic enemy. The writing is even sloppier and unfocused than before, and there are no characters here at all – just an interchangeable group of well-groomed youngsters waiting to be killed. Saying that, most of the cast suddenly disappears without explanation about halfway through, so I wondered why they bothered with them in the first place. The film is just a series of gory killings and endless repetition as the Creeper is mutilated or killed only to come back to life again. There's one good gag, making use of some exceptional CGI, in which a headless body writhes around for a moment, but even that's ripped off from RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD. The rest of this is silly indeed, just boring scenes of vehicle chases and people shooting or harpooning the Creeper with scant regard for retaining the audience's interest. From the vapid opening sequence to the sequel-friendly epilogue, JEEPERS CREEPERS 2 is soulless entertainment for the masses.
... View Morei loved the first one, it felt like Duel and worked really well, people seemed to freak out after the wing appeared but going bigger was the only way or we would be disappointed. Now with number 2 we have to go bigger again..Salva is obviously a huge Spielberg fan and here he channels him on the bigger budget full 2:35.1 cinema experience. I didn't like this one the first time but now I see it for what it is. The Spielberg horror he never made. Sure Jurassic Park and Jaws are brilliant but he never seemed comfortable with horror per se. Salva runs with the set pieces and delivers on all the steps needed. Watch it in a double bill with number one on Blu ray and see how he builds thru the first and continues until the end of 2. It's pure cinema from the building dread of 1 to the flat out action of 2. Try it, you might like it. And there is great humor hiding in there too.
... View MoreI don't get why it is a 5.5 out of 10 for this title. I don't think the sequel was better than the first one because it started to go back to a regular common horror movie. A whole bunch of kids who get caught in a horror show. But beside that point, everything else was actually good. The beginning was moving and entertaining. Parts were fun to watch of how everybody was freaking out. Some part were gross. Some parts makes you wonder what you will do in that situation. I will actually want to watch another one actually. I gave it a 9 because I like the first one with the brother and sister story line not the group of kids getting... well i let you watch it for that. Thanks for reading.
