I don't have all the words right now but this film is a work of art.

The acting is good, and the firecracker script has some excellent ideas.

The biggest problem with this movie is it’s a little better than you think it might be, which somehow makes it worse. As in, it takes itself a bit too seriously, which makes most of the movie feel kind of dull.

I won't say this movie is a rip-off of the first movie,it's not, they TRY make a version more faithful to the source material. The failure is epic. The main character try be more menacing, but like so many things in this movie isn't good enough. This is worse than being another bad sequel because not only is inferior to first but also inferior to what could be.This had the potential to be a high point in the franchise. Instead we have a halfhearted executed movie with good and average actors (some great films were made with less talent). Suggestion , compare the first ,the original graphic novel and this movie and you will see what i am talking about.

I've read horrible reviews on this movie, and I disagree. Salvation is my second favorite movie of all time, the original Crow being the first. I will say that no, it's not as amazing as the first Crow, which was a total and complete masterpiece, but it still is quite an amazing film. Eric Mabius is a fantastic actor, and he brought a lot to this film. I thought it was going to be really bad, like the sequel. The Crow: City of Angels wasted 84 minutes of my life. The story did not need to be continued and Mia Kirshner did not put as much heart into her role as Rochelle Davis could've as Sarah. But it wasn't like the second film at all. I was surprised at how great the plot was, the acting, the soundtrack. Eric Mabius puts so much into his role as Alex Corvis, that you really feel for him. You really feel his pain and want to reach out into the screen and hug him and tell him everything's going to be okay. It's an extremely beautiful film. My love for this movie burns with the white hot intensity of a thousand suns.So before you give up on Crow sequels all together, watch Salvation. Give it a chance. I think you'll be surprised rather than disappointed.

After the pathetic "The Crow - City of Angels" and the absolutely appalling, why-did-they-bother "The Crow - Wicked Prayer" , you would be forgiven for thinking that all Crow sequels were a load of rubbish. And nothing more than an attempt to cash in on the brilliance of the original. At least, that's what I was thinking until I saw "The Crow - Salvation". IT'S NOT THAT BAD!!! While Eric Mabius will never match Brandon Lee's effort, he makes a pretty good fist of it, even if the makeup doesn't make him look dead enough. The film goes back to the original in it's darkness and execution. But uses a different story line to avoid sameness. The corrupt cop villains are convincing enough for the audience to hate and they die gruesome and deserved deaths. Just like villains should. This was one aspect that failed in the other sequels. Perhaps "The Crow - Salvation" is the only Crow sequel that should have been made? It's almost worthy!!!!
