Grandmother's House Trailers

David and Lynn have just lost their father. Now orphaned, the youngsters are sent to live with their grandparents in a beautiful victorian mansion. But no sooner than boarding the coach bus scheduled to take them to their new home do strange things start to occur, initially in the form of a mysterious woman who seems to appear and disappear in the blink of an eye. It’s not long, however, before murdered bodies are found in the area and, to make matters worse, David becomes increasingly fearful that his doting grandparents might be involved in the killings.

I am only giving this movie a 1 for the great cast, though I can't imagine what any of them were thinking. This movie was horrible

One of those movie experiences that is so good it makes you realize you've been grading everything else on a curve.

Ok... Let's be honest. It cannot be the best movie but is quite enjoyable. The movie has the potential to develop a great plot for future movies

David (a solid performance by Eric Foster) and his older sister Lynn (an appealing portrayal by the pretty Kim Valentine) are forced to move in with their grandparents on an old farm after their father dies. Things go awry after David uncovers a dark secret from his family's grim past.Director Peter Rader, working from a compellingly twisted script by Peter Jensen, relates the absorbing story at a steady pace, does a sound job of crafting an intriguingly spooky and mysterious atmosphere, stages the lively and exciting last third with real brio, makes good use of the idyllic rural locations, and concludes things on a startling downbeat note. Ida Lee and especially Len Lesser are both excellent as the sinister grandparents while 80's scream queen supreme Brinke Stevens attacks her juicy role as a dangerously unhinged woman with frightening intensity and ferocity. Moreover, the character of David is drawn in a realistic manner; he snoops around and causes trouble because there's quite simply nothing else to do. Jensen's crisp cinematography gives this picture a pleasing polished look. The spare shivery score by Nigel Holton and Clive Wright hits the spine-tingling spot. Worth a watch.

Better then you would expect picture about a two teenagers who have lost both of their parents. They are shipped off to their grandparents house to live, but the sudden arrival of a mysterious woman eventually results in an outbreak of violence. Twisty, complicated thriller with its fair share of surprises throughout. The movie is well plotted and thought out, but is negated by routine performances. Still, very suspenseful and thrilling at times.Rated R; Violence, Adult Themes.

I feel compelled to advise any would be watcher of this movie not to. In the reviews some have marked it 10/10. The only people that could ever think this would be the actors in the movie themselves (although even they would consider this garbage) or some really deranged person. The plot is ordinary, the acting worse than D grade.Do your self a favour, avoid it at all costs.

Well, what can I say... Quite a common low budget movie, weak plot, but surprisingly a pretty good atmosphere. It could be worse, much much worse, but somehow the filmmakers managed to avoid it. It's good to see if you've got extra 1.5hrs to kill, but otherwise - don't waste your time on this movie.
