Like the great film, it's made with a great deal of visible affection both in front of and behind the camera.

Great story, amazing characters, superb action, enthralling cinematography. Yes, this is something I am glad I spent money on.

Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable

This show was funny and needs to come back. So many people have wrote negative reviews about this show which I don't agree with. Yeah, it is a little different and it is a little twisted but that is what makes the show not only good but unique. People need not to judge so fast. Look at the show Family Guy, it aired, people judged, they stopped airing the show, and then years later it aired again and is now on it's 14th season with very high ratings. Golan could have done the same thing if people weren't so quick to judge and just opened their minds a little. I know that I am disappointed and sad that this show wasn't given a chance and I will miss watching it. Bring Golan Back!!!!!!!!! **AZJETSFAN**

Golan the insatiable is indeed a somewhat raunchy show, A young girl named Dylan and her sorta best friend dark demon overlord Golan try to cause as much havoc as possible, hilarity (and massive destruction) ensues, not exactly your standard show! However like many other adult cartoons it tackles certain issues in society, but not directly which is nice since it can be a bit suffocating when shows seem to shove certain issues into our faces. It does remind me a bit of shows like Rick and Morty with the silly humor and relationship between the 2 main characters (though the characters themselves are so much more different). Regardless it does have a very unique feel to it. A lot of the humor is rather dark or flat out stupid which actually makes for some very original and funny gags! (While it is on a more personal level I did find something funny in every episode that caught me by surprise, though everyone's comedy sense is different), I feel like the overall animation is actually not too bad! While it is a very simplistic style the animators are able to pull off some very nice scenes! and they do spice things up from time to time. I don't believe the show is visually unpleasant like those shows that are gross just for the sake of being gross, though It can have some grotesque scenes (usually nothing cringe worthy though!). It does help that the show doesn't completely rely on one character for the audience to cling to in order to enjoy. While Dylan can be very relatable to a human audience, Golan himself can be so ignorant and in his own ironic way "human"! that I often found myself comparing to him than all the other characters! Though one thing that does trouble me a bit is how one dimensional some of the side characters can be sometimes (except for a few of them such as Dylans mom). While the show seems a bit under-appreciated for the things it does do right, I feel like this show would deserve no less than a solid 7-7.5 overall in terms of animation in addition to humor and story, The fact of the matter is this show is very hit or miss for people, I gave it a 9 since It was so much more enjoyable to me. You may either lower or raise the score in your own mind depending on what you find funny as well as your societal views (If you're an open minded person you may enjoy this show much more!)

The description of this show states that "Buffoonery ensues" from the premise for this show. Well, I don't know that I would call any of this "buffoonery".The animation quality isn't all that great, but then neither is South Park. But South Park has better writers, and some hilarious situations. Golan is lucky to give you a laugh an episode. "Funny" is not the same as "absurd".Golan also seems to be a bit schizophrenic about its style. There are a lot of bodily-function references, some leering at women, and a general contempt for the family that, for some reason, puts up with this "visitor". But it has relatively mild language, perhaps in the hope that it will be suitable for family viewing. Somehow, I don't think it is going to be a major threat to "The Simpsons" in that department.Sorry, Golan, but you should go back to that alternate universe from whence you came -- and don't let the door hit you on your ample backside on the way out.

I am a long-time fan of Fox Sunday night programming, which has been at the heart of "animation domination" for some time now. David Letterman once joked with a guest who I think was one of the voices of one of those shows- "they're playing nothing but cartoons over at Fox, huh??" LMAO And he has a point- for Sunday nights anyways. It just seems that any live-action sitcoms they try on that network- on that night- fails. "Bob's Burgers", "Family Guy", that institution known as "The Simpsons", and over the years, "Futurama", "American Dad", "King of the Hill", "The Cleveland Show", "The Critic", etc.. etc.. the list goes on and on.Now with the latest, "Golan the Insatiable"- which I look at sorta as an animated "Beetlejuice". Unlike that film, however, so far I'm not terribly impressed. I've only seen a couple episodes so far, but don't find it all that funny- the animation is pretty bad (maybe intended that way I dunno??). But I'll probably keep watching for a few more episodes. Sometimes it can take these shows awhile to find their rhythm...
