... View MoreI have always adored Beverly hills 90210, since I was a kid. Brandon, Brenda, Kelly, Donna, Andrea, Dylan, David, Steve, Clare, Valerie & co accompanied me through elementary school years, then high school, then life. This TV show is certainly the best of the 90s decade(if not the best ever!)and the new 90210 has nothing to do with it, really: it is just a boring, full of clichè and pale imitation of something that was almost flawless. The characters of the Original 90210 are so real that they manage to make us believe they really exist, somewhere in the amazingly beautiful Beverly Hills. We all feel we know deeply each of them, we all feel that warm sensation when we see their well-known faces on TV or on the page of a magazine: it is pure nostalgia. We all know by heart the amazing OST song and we miss them all now that TV shows characters mostly look like shallow, boring, selfish people with no ethic or good feelings inside, it is only a matter of "appearing"; maybe that is the portrait of what we have become nowadays, and this is more than sad. I still dream of meeting friends like them (and living in Beverly Hills, of course!), I will never forget what their adventures meant to me, to all of us.
... View MoreI'm not going to beat around the bush here. I missed 90210 as a kid. You see, it came on after morning cartoons on Saturday, the rerun of the previous week's episode. I was anywhere between 5-10, and I would watch the cartoons, see the show come on, turn the TV off, and then go play with my toys.I remember once watching a full episode in boredom however, and thinking Kelly was the prettiest girl ever.I'm 23 now. And oh man how I wish I had known what I was missing. This show is the bomb, even 12 years after it's cancellation. It really did show a lot of emotion, and a lot of the troubles of being a teenager, and put it in the spotlight. This show was right before the age of the internet and the mobile phone, and that's what makes it so good. There's no heavy gossip, no heavy backstabbing, just a group of friends who all want to help each other, that fight small obstacles throughout their life, such as love, drugs, violence, and alcoholism. From Kelly, the prettiest and most caring girl on the show, to Brenda, who you absolutely love to hate, this show really did put you on the forefront of what it was like to be a teenager and have those friends who you just.... want to strangle sometimes, and then give a great big hug too.I'm a guy, and I feel stupid for missing out on this show. What really makes me feel so sad is that all the cast members are old now - Almost middle aged, all grown up. They'll never be the kids they were on the show - I missed the show at the moment when it was most real, and when it's episodes actually quite likely reflected their own real life relationships. But it makes me feel warm sitting back and watching it. It makes me feel like a kid, a teenager, and even a toddler all over again. And for the onslaught of emotions that come with it, I can't fault it. Not at all. It's on Netflix now (As of 2012). Don't miss it - it's simply too good.
... View Morethis is a really great show! i mean the emotional attachment i still have to this show is amazing! it was really great for me considering i have seen every episode from the pilot all the way to the 10 year reunion show. the changes all the characters went through is phenomenal. i mean take Kelly. at first i though she was just a spoiled, shallow, Beverly hills Barbie. but she was my favorite character! she became a kind, independent, smart, and responsible woman. however i do feel that after the gang graduated from college Andrea took a turn for the worst. i mean she went from being the smart, prestigious, ivy league seeking newspaper editor to being a divorced mom cheating on her husband at the age of like 20! and i have to admit even though many people might hate me for saying this, i liked Brenda with Dylan and Kelly with Brandon. my favorite episode of 90210 is something i doubt i will ever officially decide but i think it might be the spring fling episode in season 1. i mean it had Brenda and Dylan finally having sex. Steve having an emotional crisis. Donna's goofy dress, David silver revealing his dance moves, and Kelly admitting her feelings for Brandon. i loved it! however i do wish they never graduated because for the rest of the show i missed the days when they were roaming the halls of west Beverly. i also wish Brenda never left because the show was never the same afterwards. i gave the show 8 out of 10 because i didn't really like the show as much after school was over and Brenda left and stuff. but it is still a really great show.
... View More"BEVERLY HILLS, 90210," in my opinion, is an absolute FOX classic! I don't think I've seen every episode, but I still enjoyed it. It's hard to say which episode was my favorite. It would probably have to be the one where Brenda (Shannen Doherty) has a fight with Kelly (Jennie Garth). However, I think it was always sad when friends fought. I always wanted to cry at that. It would have been nice if all the main characters stayed with the show throughout its entire run. It seems that no one stays with a show throughout its entire run. Everyone always gave a good performance, the production design was spectacular, the costumes were well-designed, and the writing was always very strong. In conclusion, I hope some network brings it back on the air for fans of the show to see.
