Stylish but barely mediocre overall
... View MorePerfectly adorable
... View MoreI like movies that are aware of what they are selling... without [any] greater aspirations than to make people laugh and that's it.
... View MoreI wanted to like it more than I actually did... But much of the humor totally escaped me and I walked out only mildly impressed.
... View MoreAS IT IS in our local (Chicago) market, it appears that "THE WHEEL" (as it is widely known) fits very well into the early evening time-slot. That would be the half hour or hour between the end of the evening news and the beginning of prime time programing.THIS MAKES IT both a link and a barrier at the very same time; a programing dichotomy that few shows could do so well.BOTH IN THE concept and execution, THE WHEEL strikes a moderate approach. It offers us a question/puzzle to solve; yet it steers clear of any semblance of real difficulty. Although the daily three contestants compete for both Ca$h and Prize$ that may have considerable value, no one ever seems to take it to heart.ONE VERY IMPORTANT factor in maintaining such a sort of "Nature's Balance" of the Entertainment World is the kind treatment and good humor of the hosting twosome. This is largely due to the unique personality and outstanding sense of humor of MC/Host, Pat Sajak. His extremely quick wit never fails to elicit the laughs from the in studio crowd & home viewers; yet he never makes guests the brunt of the joke.AS FOR THE value of Vanna White and her function, it could be said that her original function has been automated out of existence. For so many years, the very attractive Ms. White was in charge of "turning the letters" in order to reveal the word puzzle parts. Now it is accomplished electronically by a technician in the control room.HOWEVER, WE DO concede that Vanna's presence is far more reaching as she always adds to the daily conversation, does in-between announcements and is the representative of the feminine point of view in all matters. In short, for many reasons, she is definitely a keeper.THE GREATEST CROSS section of viewing audiences regularly tune into WHEEL OF FORTUNE. And we have no reason to think that this trend will not continue. Ergo, we firmly believe that we will have it around for some years to come.
... View MoreWheel of Fortune has always been my favorite TV game show because it is so much fun to play along with. I imagine actually being on the show would be a little harder than playing from home, but sure would be fun to have a chance to try! Now that Wheel of Fortune offers daily prizes to viewers through their Wheel Watchers Club and Spin ID's it makes it even more exciting. There have been a few times I have missed the show, and wondered if they had called my Spin ID.I finally found a solution to that when I joined Club Wheel Watchers. Now I get a daily email with the winning Spin ID to double check in case I missed the show. I found this website through Yahoo under wheel watchers club.I hope this show goes on forever. Can you imagine Vanna at 80? She would probably be just as beautiful as she is now. Love the show!
... View MoreThat show I like, and the show America likes, is bigger, brighter, and better than ever because it's now in High Definition!!!!! It's "Wheel of Fortune!!!!!"Anyhow, Pat Sajak and Vanna White run the show and they are the perfect duo to take center stage. The game is played exactly like "Hangman," as Merv Griffin envisioned it more than 30 years ago. Here people spin for "BIG MONEY !!!," and prizes too, but watch out for "Bankrupts," "Lose a Turns," calling wrong letters, etc. and the player shall succeed!!!!! The person with the most cash goes on to spin the little wheel for a chance at cars and cash ranging from $25,000 to $100,000!!!!!I am looking forward to seeing such a great season this year, especially the Dallas episodes. As a matter of fact, the Nokia Theater in Grand Prairie just wrapped up three nights (three weeks on TV) of shows a couple of weeks back. It'll probably be on in November, so I'll have my old-fashioned SD VCR ready!!!!!"Wheel of Fortune" is the best game show ever made, and 6th according to GSN. Watch it, you will enjoy it!!!!!10/10
... View MoreI remember when this show came on, The highest prize won was $25,000 in the bonus round. Now a days is 100 grand. And all the toss ups. I'm telling you this show is better than ever. And the theme song is pretty good. Unlike the 1983 "Changing Keys" version which was ugly and used too many synthesizer or the 1997 version where they jazed up the theme. I Like the new hi-tech puzzle board because it gives a more 21st century feel to the show. And the PRIZES!!! We'll What more can be said this show is better than ever before. And the set is cool. Better than the previous sets including the Ugly Sunburst's in 1983. Long Live Wheel.
