Purely Joyful Movie!

... View MoreIt isn't all that great, actually. Really cheesy and very predicable of how certain scenes are gonna turn play out. However, I guess that's the charm of it all, because I would consider this one of my guilty pleasures.
... View MoreI didn’t really have many expectations going into the movie (good or bad), but I actually really enjoyed it. I really liked the characters and the banter between them.
... View MoreIt's a shame this show was cancelled. It was a great show. Everyone was great in the show. I feel like Samuel Barnett could be a great Doctor Who.I hope the show comea backs in the future in some way or form.
... View MoreA beautiful use of the imaginative creations of one of the all time loved writes. Excellent writing and classic humor. Just when you think things get any weirder they do, but in the end it's all connected.
... View MoreWhy Dirk Gently wasn't as big as "Stranger Things" baffles me. It's got all the mystery, sci-fi and action, but much more playful, well-written and laugh-out-loud funny.Max Landis has obviously learned a fair bit from his father, because he absolutely kills it when it comes to storytelling and dialogue. Each scene flows effortlessly, which made this so easy to binge. And the characters, I absolutely loved the characters, every last one. While I haven't read this particular Douglas Adams series, I can guess this veers from them while still managing to capture the spirit and humour. It seemed to have a similar off-the-wall quirk to the "Hitchhiker's Guide" series.Anyway, highly recommended and I hope Netflix picks this up, since it was cancelled by BBC America. Season 2 didn't quite live up to Season 1, but it was still more entertaining than 99% of anything on telly. Give it a go.
... View More6.7/10 (Season 2). Man was I dissapointed. After such a brilliant first season which was filled with laughs, mystery, action and complete randomness amidst a solid and very thrilling plot line - S2 fell so fricken flat. The script was far from funny. They mystery wasnt nearly as enthralling. And the characters became so stale it was a real hard slog to get through this season in comparison to S1. Elijah Wood was just simply boring in S2. And as for Samuel Barnett who plays Dirk, he was so infuriating and annoying I could not deal with him this time around. He did have one hilarious moment though . Netflix .Follow me on Instagram at AlsMovieReviews for my latest reviews.
