what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.

"Airplane!" was just about the last good parody to come out of the film industry, and it's been a long time. Since then, most attempts have failed because they take the cheap way out and give us a string of cheap dirty jokes, thinking it's funny. It makes the little kids laugh, kind of like making noises with your armpit.I was expecting more of the same with "Superfast." But it only took a few minutes to see that these people get it - they know that you have to have a constant flow of references to the film being parodied, in this case, the entire Fast and Furious franchise. This is the first parody that I laughed out loud, along with my wife (who had had a bad day), and one of the few that we didn't lose interest before the film ended. If you enjoyed Airplane! ("Don't call me Shirley") and the silly jokes it was full of, you will certainly like this one. Yeah, they scraped the bottom of the barrel once in a while, but you have to do that if you're going to get all the clichés in.I loved it, and I didn't expect to going in.

Personally, I've always been a fan of their weird crazy silly spoof movies. (Epic Movie and Vampires Suck are my favorites) After the trainwreck that was 'Disaster Movie' it feels like they stick with spoofing one main franchise at a time now rather that spoofing multiple movies and characters into one. This time, they are spoofing The Fast & the Furious franchise. The franchise has gone from sexy street racing to pulling off heists like Ocean's Eleven. Superfast did a great job at spoofing this long drawn out series. Making fun of the clichés like having a black guy, an Asian, a greased up guy, and a hot supermodel in the group. The guy playing Detective Rock Johnson was hilarious and had Dwayne Johnson's mannerisms down perfectly. Listen, this movie isn't meant to be some boring drawn out Award winning masterpiece, it's just meant to be funny and give you a couple of laughs, so please don't judge it so harshly.Undercover police officer Lucas White enters the world of underground street racing to join a gang of street racers led by Vin Serento to get closer to a crime ring led by Los Angeles kingpin Juan Carlos de la Sol. Lucas and Vin very quickly become BFFs and dates his sister, Jordana. They put together a group to take down Juan Carlos and steal $100 million. Hot on their trail is a dim-witted detective who keeps rubbing his body with baby oil. It all leads to a high speed chase and plenty of hilarity. I highly recommend SUPERFAST!!!

I'm gonna start off by saying that I will give every movie a chance even if I have a pretty good idea that they aren't that great. So I've given this movie fair chance and was surprisingly only mildly disappointed. After what I've seen from Friedberg and Seltzer I figured it was going to be an over the top ridiculous movie, and it was, but it's far from their worst parody movie. I think the reason their over-the-top style works better on this movie is because the F&F franchise is already ridiculous so it plays in decently with this parody. What I didn't like was some of the blatant attempts they were making in some scenes to be extremely stupid-funny when they had some better low-key (by comparison) comedy in some well placed spots in the movie. They also seem to think that when you drag a joke out that it gets funnier the longer the joke persists, which in my experience has never been the case. Overall they did an OK job on a parody of a series that I love, but because of their signature style of overdrawing and over emphasizing most of the jokes, they deserve a 4/10 at best for their effort in my eyes.

This is unquestionably the best parody movie I have seen. The acting was good, the humor was mostly slapstick exempt and with the 7+ movies to draw on, the plot line wasn't completely predictable. Grasping at various scenes from each of the films, this satirical take on the films did an admirable job blending them all and keeping a fresh storyline.Don't expect to see these actors in any upcoming films, their faces are bland, and their acting skills aren't anything unprecedented.Overall, if you're wanting to break up a Fast and Furious marathon, or not a fan of the franchise, give this film a chance (with the mindset that it is a parody) and you won't be disappointed- just don't bother with a theater viewing.
