The movie's neither hopeful in contrived ways, nor hopeless in different contrived ways. Somehow it manages to be wonderful

I don't know where to begin, but the film kicked off with the heavy influence of 'Kick-Ass' and 'Sin City'. But the actual film was based on the graphic novel. Though the overall film looks so different, mainly because of the characters. The story was not anything extraordinary, not event the stunts which very essential for a theme like this. I don't know what the budget was, but looks like it made with a tight financial circumstance. The quality was acceptable, even though falls short to entertain us.It was not high-end superhero film, Kind of a superhero noir. The costumes were not fancy enough to attract. I think the actors were not bad, only their roles were. Written, produced and directed by some unknown B movie filmmaker who also the brain of the original graphic novel. He had a decent source, but the modern superhero films need those magical touch of twists and turns where this in lacked thoroughly. Seeing the reviews and ratings, it looks like some people liked it, but don't get deceived by that. I'm not saying it was so bad, but I was not impressed, so anlyse it well before picking up to watch.4.5/10

Sparks is what any Hardcore Graphic Novelist would want to see in their work from a Comic Book, something that will tease the senses and bring a smile to the faces of those who are exhausted from watching a series of top action "Hero" movies, such as "X-Men", "Batman" or "The Fantastic Four". ...it is fresh (No cheesy booms on the top of the screen, or lip-sync errors) and most definitely a film that we will be reaching for again in time to come to watch with a few cans of Bud and a few friends. So anyone who likes any of those genres would like this film. It really has something for everyone.

There is nothing new to the plot since the Watchmen were issued some 30 years ago. Adding sadistic scenes of torture does not make it any better, except maybe for a sadistic audience. The film looks like a bad stage play with sub par CGI added in the background. Half of the plot is actually narrated instead of shown or suggested, which is a terrible way of doing cinema. The fight scenes are bad, but not even laughably bad, and the acting is appalling (especially Mrs Bell and her stony face, more suited to another Z movie like "the day").Frankly I cannot imagine people writing 10/10 reviews of this piece of junk or giving these reviews an up vote without being paid to do so.

This is just my two cents and not an attempt at writing a pro review. I was ready for this movie to be a piece of crap, so I got pleasantly surprised. I think the plot was great and the costumes was corny as hell - which threw me off a bit in the beginning (that and the lead up to the main storyline which was confusing as to where we we're going). But it soon became apparent to be that i had stumbled into a old school noir movie which isn't about polished superheroes, but "normal" people trying to make a difference. It still has the usual good vs evil with a hint of romance in it, with a red line that keeps you interested throughout the film. People who say this is the worst crap they have seen must be watching only the best there is. Overall a decent flick.
