Mum & Dad Trailers

Mum and Dad, and their 'adopted' children, Birdie & Elbie, work at the airport. The family live off whatever they scavenge from cargo holds, offices and hotels - including a steady stream of transient workers who populate the airport's soulless hub. When Lena, a young Polish office cleaner, is befriended by Birdie, she gets drawn into a nightmarish world of torture, murder and perversity.

A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.

Is is very very rare that i rate films so highly, as i'm forever picking holes at some level with movies. Mum and Dad didn't have a massive budget, but it is a hidden gem. Surprisingly i do not know many people who have had the chance to watch or even heard of this film, which shocks me as i have a few very good friends who are fellow horror fanatics. I can not fault this film for its originality, class and pure genius. Its barbaric, twisted, extremely perverted, and a total shocker (which reason to be). I love this film so much that its really difficult not to give to much away or spoilers (thats not my thing). But i will say this,,,if you like your horror with depth, meaning and surreal darkness, then this is for you . If you are more into visual horror then you most likely will not rate this as high as i have. The psychological aspect of this film stayed with me for a long time after my first watch. Its the only film of this genre than gave me nightmares (seriously). Its an unforgettable film once seen. and i can only wish i was there at the first showing at the festival. Warped family values mixed with life in a family unit.. We never really get to the bottom of why mum and dad are the way they are. There are many clues, and i liked that because it allowed my imagination to flow after watching trying to piece things together my own way. The acting was amazing the directing was superb. Please give it a go , it will change your perception of horror for good ! Thankyou for reading

My opinion---This film is not so badly done in the end, but it is more a sadistic film horror for the horror, it is the girl who will feel ... the horror. But you can feel all the unhealthy atmosphere in this house and its sadistic inhabitants and the situations that the young woman feels as well as other victims, there is still very hard. The movie is rather slow the first half an hour and then nothing more quickly, the sadistic scenes reflect the real sadists of life, it is only to see the news and the documentaries on investigations impossible to understand There are even sadists even more sadistic than those seen in the movie, is to say the calvaries of those people who fall into their hands. The actors play their degenerate roles very well and the victims theirs. A movie nevertheless well done. Lovers will surely love it.

This is so full of offensive stereotypes I don't know where to begin. You have the big fat overbearing Dad who's supposed to be scary just because he's a bully and likes to shout and use the 'f' word a lot. All he cares about is work and family. This is not the 1950s! Another sick, disturbing, poor excuse for a horror from the United Kingdom. They seem to think here in the UK that a good horror movie means deeply disturbing the viewer with horrific and gross scenes that do not entertain but leave a bad mark in your mind that stays with you for days.I wish I had never watched this cheap trash. It takes the whole horror theme of movies and gives it a really bad name. I don't know how people get the funding to produce such awful movies.

Polish immigrant Lena finds herself tricked into and trapped in the house(where most of this is set) of the volatile and knife-happy "mum" and "dad"(and no, the tubby dude will scare you), and her "siblings", where scarring, draconian punishments for disobedience and the like are commonplace. Could she possibly make it out of the experience alive? This is a mix of torture porn and psychological thriller. It's disgusting, perverted(albeit far from the worst out there, in that regard; there is sexual content, and it's pretty unappealing), gory, bloody and disturbing. The pacing is reasonable, and although it can be brutal and thus difficult to watch, it doesn't strain your patience(note that it does "feel" like our lead is stuck in a hopeless situation for a rather long period of time - as denoted by the incessant shots of planes passing by, as the "family" live near the airport), during the 80-minute running time, sans credits. This is well-acted, and the character development is pretty good. You know a lot about these people without much other information than behaviour. One thing is that we don't actually get an explanation for the actions of the parent couple. This can be quite creepy, and it tends to be effective. Editing and cinematography are nice, they really build a mood. The DVD comes with three trailers, one of them for this, the other two being for Spread and Laid to Rest, respectively. I recommend this to fans of this kind of film. 7/10
