It’s an especially fun movie from a director and cast who are clearly having a good time allowing themselves to let loose.

When a movie has you begging for it to end not even half way through it's pure crap. We've all seen this movie and this characters millions of times, nothing new in it. Don't waste your time.

This movie tries so hard to be funny, yet it falls flat every time. Just another example of recycled ideas repackaged with women in an attempt to appeal to a certain audience.

This is an absurd film. There is much to unpack, but it's worth watching just for the character who wears a different utterly useless and out-of-place hat in every scene. 100% would recommend, but yeah it's mad haggard.

Bewilderment. Disorientation. For those who are on the fence about dungeons and dragons, be prepared for a sudden loss of cherished illusions. For 22 years I've successfully fought off any urge, small and large, to consider playing dungeons and dragons. And I've felt somewhat righteous about it. You know, I might be a nerd, but at least I'm not a D&D nerd. I might be crippled, but at least I'm not black. This movie made me doubt what I believed to be 22 years of logical decision making. Should I give D&D a try? What does it really feel like to roll 22 on 2 12 charm? Am I denying myself real joy? These are just a few questions you'll end up asking yourself. Trust me.After a lot of contemplation and heavy discussion among close friends, I've realized that dungeons and dragons is only appealing to me if Tom Hanks is the fourth. But this movie is appealing, Tom Hanks or not. It was worth the $3.99 I paid for it, and I pay for nothing. In short, any movie in which Tom Hanks cry-talks is worth watching. He's so god damn beautiful.

If you didn't know better, you would believe the Christian moral majority in their preachy testimonial of the sins of the young, their questing for Satan, and that Hell was just brimming with Advanced Dungeons and Dragons fans.None of these items bears one grain of truth, folks. This work does nothing but give the Southern Baptists a chance to take a breath, while the movie continues to spout their erroneous and alarmist views concerning a creative and original gaming system.Tom Hanks contributes a stellar performance for this work, but even that wasn't enough to save it. It's crap. It's beneath crap. It is ignorance breeding ignorance and as such, it rates NOTHING from...the Fiend :.

In this day and age, with Tom Hanks as probably the most popular movie star in America, it's shocking that he started out in flicks like the slasher "He Knows You're Alone" and the thriller "Mazes and Monsters". The latter casts him as a college student who likes to play the title game - loosely based on Dungeons & Dragons - with his friends, but then he gets too much into his role...to an almost sinister extent.Among other things, I think that it's very neat to see Forrest Gump look nearly evil. But what I really noticed while watching the movie: the subtitles. It so happened that I watched a pirated DVD and turned on English subtitles, not knowing that it was in fact spoken in English. The subtitles sounded more like what I would expect in a very ridiculous kung fu movie. Pretty funny. So, it's not any kind of masterpiece, but quite interesting. Also starring Wendy Crewson (of "Air Force One"), Chris Makepeace (of "Meatballs"; what ever became of him?), David Wallace (sorry, I don't know him), Anne Francis (of "Forbidden Planet"), Vera Miles (of "Psycho") and Murray Hamilton (of "Jaws"). And if I may say so: Anne Francis and Vera Miles, despite both having aged since their most famous roles, still look kinda hot.
