Futurama: Bender's Game Trailers

When Leela is insulted by a group of space-rednecks (like regular rednecks, but in space) she enters the Planet Express ship in a demolition derby. She emerges victorious, but when she brings the damaged ship home and the Professor sees the fuel gauge, he's enraged by the hit he's going to take at the Dark Matter pump. Now the crew have to find a way to break Mom's stranglehold on starship fuel, even if they have to wade through a Lord of the Rings-inspired fantasy-land to do it!

It's simply great fun, a winsome film and an occasionally over-the-top luxury fantasy that never flags.

I wonder if it is a good idea to make movies about Futurama. The 20 minutes episodes from the cartoon series are much better then a long movie. I had trouble staying awake for the entire movie. I laughed at a couple fecal jokes but for the rest it is just an average cartoon. Apart from a couple references to well known movies there was not much creativity in Bender's Game. I was honestly expecting more then this. I'm sure the majority of the fans of the normal cartoon will feel the same as me. I will watch the next movie though, just to see if they made any improvement but I fear the worst. Anyways, it's not the worst I ever saw but not the best either.

Fry: So it's all come down to this... a dungeon... and dragons! Zoidberg: I didn't see it coming.Unlike the previous film this really captured the weirdness, and humour that made me like the series in the first place. And for all who's a Lord of the Rings fan, this is a must see parody. The move starts with Bender feeling left out when he sees Cubert and Dwight playing Dungeons & Dragons and can't play because robots are not installed with imaginations. Yet after trying hard he starts to struggle with seeing the difference between the game and the real-world. He calls himself "Titanius Anglesmith" and gradually believes himself to be a real knight in the magical world of "Cornwood". As a result he's put in a mental hospital. Meanwhile Leela develops an anger problem and is forced to wear a shock-collar, until she learns to calm down. Meanwhile they discover a scam by Mom involving the high prices of dark matter. Farnsworth then reveals that while he was still working for Mom many years ago, dark matter was a completely useless substance. But while experimenting with it he inadvertently created two crystals: an energy crystal that turned dark matter into fuel, which Mom took for herself, and an opposite "anti-backwards matter" crystal, which Farnsworth kept hidden from her. Farnsworth says that should the two crystals meet, they would render dark matter completely useless once more. Frankly there are so many development in this film and I can't make a longer plot review without spoiling the whole story, I'll just say that later in the film the team is transported to another dimension where Benders imagination is real. There they are met by an armored Bender in his "Titanius" persona, who names his friends "Frydo" and "Leegola." Now I'll just finish by saying that this film is in my opinion, one of the funniest things to ever have come out from a TV series, but the two very different story lines were a little confusing, but I'll still give it a 9/10.

I am a long time, big fan of Futurama, the series. The movies so far have disappointed me. Bender's Game however is in a league of its own. It is quite simply the worst Futurama ever made. How did this get passed quality control? Why did Groenig not stop this release. It is so bad, it is hard to describe it. The plot is extremely chaotic, and simply not funny. When I was browsing the HMV isles, I stumbled upon this DVD. At first I was puzzled... a Futurama movie I did not know yet? The release date was 2008, so it was a new one. Then me and my girlfriend got excited... a new Futurama! Oh boy... it was a big let down. She even stopped viewing it half way though. I managed to finish the movie the next morning. What on earth were they thinking? In the future, I will think twice before buying. Oh, and I think the publisher knows it is bad as well... the movie retailed for 9.99 Canadian dollar, less than normal. I think they need to dump unsellable produce.

When I was younger I watched almost every night the show that was and still is my favourite TV show of all time, yes I'm talking about The Simpsons, well the old Simpsons from Season1 to like Season 12. I remember that on National TV two episodes aired pee night and once after The Simpsons Futurama was shown, it was the very first time I watched a complete Futurama episode and I clearly remember that was the episode in which Bender is a were- car, now checking I know is the episode "The Honking". I remember that I was kind of exciting for thinking I was going to watch regularly Futurama but the next day it was showed another thing, no more Futurama! Certainly was strange but some years later when cable TV was contracted in my house I watched more of this show and actually since like 3 years ago I own a couple of DVD sets, the first two and that are the only Seasons that I have seen complete. I love Futurama, I think it is a truly awesome show and is a real shame it never gained a place in the programming of National TV of Mexico. For all is very strange to see that Futurama has a IMDb user rating of 9.3/10 with 19, 509 votes as for today and The Simpsons has a IMDb user rating of 9.2/10 with only 392 votes! The weird fact is the votes that The Simpsons has since for example South Park has a rating of 9.3/10 with 29, 285 votes and even Bender's Game has 2, 432 votes. Anyway, certainly I had interest in watching the new stuff of Futurama and I have been seeing the DVDs at my local store but until a couple of days ago I finally decided to get one of the three available, I got Bender's Game that is the third one just because it was the cheapest of the three but and since I really liked Bender's Game I will be getting the other Futurama straight to DVD movies. Just like with The Simpsons I prefer to watch Futurama in Spanish, the original dubbing in Spanish is really great and for me is by far more enjoyable than the original voices but unfortunately here there's a new cast and frankly I missed the old one so I decided to watch this in English. Anyway, the animation here is fantastic and here we have a longer opening with a very cool Yellow Submarine-like scene that ends in a very funny way with the crazy character Nibbler to let begin this 87 minutes movie. Basically there's not a single long period of time without a good laugh and basically we have two plots during the first part, one is about Bender and Dungeons & Dragons, now Bender is Titanius Anglesmith Fancy Man of Cornwood but not only while playing Dungeons & Dragons so he will quickly end in the robot insane asylum. The other plot is about dark matter, less dark matter and the price of the fuel is higher so certainly Mom is the person behind all of this and her three sons are on fire, they will be owl exterminators ("thanks for the crystal"- hilarious) and the funnier son Igner will know the secret of who is his father. Leela's "adventure" with the anger stuff made me remember the South Park movie since Leela will be suffering sort of like Cartman suffered. Then when the two plots comes together we are in a new world, actually in Cornwood ad we have more Dungeons & Dragons, Lord of the Rings stuff and Star Wars stuff, is a very funny final part of the movie (check the hilarious stuff with Fry -do- as Gollum!). This was a very sad movie for the Nibblonians! Then I really liked Bender's Game, it is good Futurama stuff, a lot of fun!
