The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.

Great story, amazing characters, superb action, enthralling cinematography. Yes, this is something I am glad I spent money on.

I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.

All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.

There a few things wrong with this movie that have schlock elements that if they had been fixed or handled differently would have propelled this film to greatness. SPOILER ALERT: 1) First Issue is the accent music playing during certain violent scenes. It sounds kitchsy - almost like something Tarantino would think would be cool to play when it would have been far more effective minus these moments. 2) The audio separation from the 1st floor and the 2nd floor seemed hard to believe. Everything that went on on each floor seemed to be completely isolated in regards to audio. The inability for anyone to readily hear what's going on upstairs or downstairs on multiple occasions stretches believability. 3) I find it hard to believe the remaining cop didn't call for backup once his partner got shot from the car. This is difficult for me to get over. 4) The face burn at the end didn't seem quite to take as well as it should. This woman would have been in insane pain and probably unable to see period. Also the fact that her head didn't snap back from the flame is a bit weird - normal human reactions would be to snap your head back from the flame. 5) The "prisoner" in the cop car tags along via handcuffs and the cop gives the guy a gun? Also - considering a life/death situation - that would be gross negligence on the part of this cop to bring this arrested dude into this situation. Not too believable - the arrested guy is there simply to be another victim. Besides all of these problems - I somewhat enjoyed this. I feel that if they had cleaned up a few of these issues - this movie could have gone from half schlock / half Funny Games to a full on serious movie. Unfortunately I had to suspend my belief on multiple occasions that ultimately left me with somewhat indifferent. Bleak ending is good though.

Don't misunderstand me I like trash movies like "I Bought a Vampire Motorcycle". I see them as innovative and creative stuff. But this movie is one-dimensional, state the viewer as an imbecile. The reaction from the character are always dumb and slow. No one wants to survive. Humans tends to fight for life struggles against the odds to reach salvation. In this movies the victim doesn't want to survive and the saviors don't want to save nobody. Every characters act as stupids

After a long delay I decided to take a look at another title from The New Wave of France Horror. With having heard about the movie for ages,I decide that it was time to look inside. The plot:Driving home with her husband,Sarah and her unborn child get caught in a crash which kills her husband.4 months later:Christmas Eve: Spending Christmas Eve on her own,Sarah prepares herself to deliver the baby tomorrow.Getting set for an early night,Sarah hears a knock at the door.Checking the peephole,Sarah finds a women standing in the shadows saying that she needs to use the phone.Making up an excuse of her husband being asleep,Sarah is stopped in her tracks, when the stranger reveals that she knows Sarah's name, and also that she is pregnant with her dead husbands child. Threatening to ring the cops,Sarah soon finds out that the stranger is determined to get inside the house, and inside for Sarah's unborn child.View on the film:Locking Sarah and the handful of other characters down in the house, the screenplay by writers/directors Alexandre Bustillo & Julien Maury turn the house into a maze of dread, where every corner of the house reeks of a morbid atmosphere.Whilst the explanation for the attack does leave stretchmarks, the writers keep the tension tightly coiled,as the arrival of each new outsider leads to Sarah and the stranger taking more extreme measures in their battle.Covering every bit of Sarah's house in the New Wave of French Extreme Horror blood, the directors and cinematographer Laurent Barès give the film a wonderfully abrasive atmosphere,as each spilling of blood is joined by a chillingly stilted shot.Backed by a humming trance score from François-Eudes Chanfrault and pointed scissors editing by Baxter, the directors bask the title in an eerie supernatural atmosphere,as smog greens and yellows seep over the blood.Desperately trying to protect her unborn child, (shown in poorly done CGI) Alysson Paradis gives a great performance as Sarah, with Paradis pulling the horrified anguish across Sarah's face.Gliding round Sarah's house like a black widow, Béatrice Dalle gives an extremely creepy performance as the stranger, thanks to Dalle screeching out pig squeals with a devilish glee and keeping the strangers face stone cold, with no sign of humanity,as Sarah finds herself unable to stop the stranger from getting inside.

The movie is about a woman who loses her husband in a car accident while she is pregnant. Months later, It is Christmas Eve and she is going to give birth to her baby on Christmas Day. Against the wishes of her family and friends, the main character decides to spend Christmas Eve alone. Still depressed over what happened months earlier and angry at the world. During the night she gets a knock on her door..........When I first watched Inside back in 2008, I was blown away by its relentless nature. This is most definitely one of the most extreme films I have ever come across. One important thing about this film is that is very good at maintaining tension and suspense, something that very few gory movies r able to. This movie will keep you on the edge of the seat from the beginning to the end. The score and sound effects r excellent. Made on a pretty low budget, but the acting n direction is very good. It's shot in jus one house n very few dialogues. Definitely not for pg-13 lovers n shud not n seen by pregnant females.
