There are moments that feel comical, some horrific, and some downright inspiring but the tonal shifts hardly matter as the end results come to a film that's perfect for this time.

"Disaster Movie" is a parody of 2007 and 2008 movies like "Alvin and the Chipmunks" , "Enchanted" and "Kung Fu Panda". It's set on Armageddon. IMDB's rating for this is a 1.9/10 for it's stupidity. However, that's the point! It's being stupid with modern movies. My rating loses half a star because of 2 double entendres: "Chipmunks love nuts" and "Don't mind me. I'm just playing with my monkey." Both made me think "REALLY?" One movie reference comes after another, and I think they fit better as shorts rather than a whole movie, like "The Spirit of Mickey" or "The Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh" with modern movies. If you really don't like the F word, don't see the unrated version of the song at the end! One example of stupidity is a parody of "Enchanted" and the ripoff Giselle eats a beer bottle and lets her lips bleed since she was unaware that it wasn't food. That parodies how she knows nothing about the real world. The movie is NOT genius, but not 1.9/10 bad in my opinion. "Night Patrol" is less than that, but that has a 4.8 somehow! The movie has something insightful to say about how silly modern movies are. Maybe we should listen.

Today I decided to watch a movie since I had a lot of spare time today, I chose Disaster Movie because I was in the mood for a giggle. Unfortunately, I didn't laugh, instead I cringed at the awful acting, seriously terrible humour and pretty much everything! This pile of rubbish is WORSE than Epic Movie!To be honest, I think Aaron Seltzer and Jason Friedberg let Year Seven students write the script for this torture method! What does Amy Winehouse have to do with disaster movies? What does Juno have to do with disaster movies? WHAT DOES HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL HAVE TO DO WITH FREAKING DISASTER MOVIES?!When I got to the 25th minute mark, I couldn't take it anymore so I decided to turn it off which was a shame because this was the first movie I've stopped watching. I just couldn't bear the torture anymore...If you see this movie on DVD somewhere, don't pick it up, it's not worth it. Don't watch this on TV when there's nothing else on.

Lots of crude jokes...but are their any smart ones, like in Scary Movie? Let's see, hmmm...no! There is no jokes that aren't crude. You can take a look in the quotes section if you don't believe me. In fact, I think it's stupid for me to write a review for this bullcrap. I'm just in so much anger watching it, that I had to release my anger by writing this down. You won't laugh once. There was also this pointless cheerleader scene which was utterly stupid, and unintelligent. I felt like killing myself when I reached the end of the movie. My eyeballs were melting...you're TEARING ME APART, Disaster Movie!However, I guess the batman homage scene was relatively funny. But trust me, there will be no other jokes that'll make you laugh.Overall, I give this a very generous 1.4/10. Holy crap, that movie was bad.

I was looking forward to watching this because I love disaster movies and it would be so easy to make fun of them. With all the unrealistic survival situations, moron decisions by bad guys and the fact that there's very few disaster movies that would make you go "Wow!".I haven't watched this movie for many years, but I still remember being hugely disappointed by it. Much like "Meet the Spartans", the jokes are not about what the movie is titled. Instead there's just poor celebrity imitations with bad jokes. I can't remember laughing even once. On the other hand I regularly get a lot of laughters out of bad disaster movies like "Atomic Twister". And I even think that one didn't intend to be funny at all, while this one did.
