It's an amazing and heartbreaking story.

The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.

There are not to many movie scarier then this one. Critters is one of the only movies I can think of. This is movie has a great story line. It also has great acting. It also has great special effects. 5.3 is a good ratting. But this is such a great movie that 5.3 is underrating it. This is a 10. Not a 5.3. This is very scary. It is scarier then The Exorcist and that is not easy to do. This a very scary movie. If it does not scary you no movie will. This is scarier then A Nightmare on elm street and that is not easy to do. Mick Garris is a great film maker. This is one of the his best movies. This is scarier then Halloween and that is not easy to do.

This sequel to "Critters" begins logically enough, as the bounty hunters Ug (Terrence Mann) and Charlie (Don Keith Opper) return to Earth, having found out about the pile of Crite eggs left at the end of the first movie. In the company of another bounty hunter, they go about their mission, while former farm boy Brad Brown (the likable Scott Grimes) returns to the town of Grovers' Bend for an Easter vacation with his grandma (Herta Ware), and the Crite eggs unfortunately get distributed around town.Once the eggs are hatched, it's all about the Critter action in this fairly fast paced effort by first time feature director Mick Garris ("Sleepwalkers"), who also wrote the script with David Twohy ("Pitch Black"). The main change is the opening up of the action, what with having the Crites take on the town of Grovers' Bend en masse. The effects by the Chiodo brothers are typically amusing; the big draw this time is seeing the petite monsters fuse themselves into a great big ball and go rolling hungrily along. (It does make one wish that they do a little more damage in this capacity.)The cast proves to be game: Opper is once again endearing as Charlie, Liane Curtis likewise appealing as young reporter Megan. Lending their valuable support are Sam Anderson as Megans' dad, the local newspaper publisher, Lin Shaye (another returnee from the first "Critters") as his employee Sally, Barry Corbin, taking over the role of Harv from M. Emmet Walsh, and the always-good-for-a-laugh Eddie Deezen as a restaurant manager. Garris's wife Cynthia plays a small role and also wrote and sang that catchy jingle. Some viewers will appreciate the presence of the sadly short lived beauty Roxanne Kernohan, as the third bounty hunters' incarnation as a Playboy centerfold. There is a funny little in-joke regarding New Line Cinemas' biggest franchise character at that time.Overall, agreeable entertainment for fans of the genre.Seven out of 10.

You didn't really think the Crites had been wiped off the face of the Earth, did you? Heck no. They've actually been hard at work propagating their species. In fact, a nest of their colorful eggs are discovered on the abandoned farm property featured in the first film. These are sold to a local hustler by a punk who's out to score beer and pornographic reading material. Said hustler then sells the eggs to the local church so they can be used in the town-wide Easter Egg Hunt.Yeah. You can see where this is going.Believe it or not, Critters 2 is much more well done than its predecessor. It's cheesier, filled with schlocky gore, and actually realizes that it's not going to ever be truly scary. Because of this, it ultimately feels like Gremlins 2: you know, the one where all of the little monsters reeked havoc on a Manhattan skyscraper. The rip-off effect isn't quite as poignant as I had originally feared, though. Things quickly escalate from ridiculous to ludicrous, and it seems as if screenwriter David Twohy and Mick Garris realized that this sequel should be as absurd as possible. This time around the people of Grover's Bend are goofier than ever, and the Crites reveal they're ability to morph into one gigantic "critter ball" that carves a path of destruction throughout the community. The hilarity is also taken up a notch by the decision of one alien bounty hunter to undergo an incredibly fake/incredibly awkward transformation so as to represent a Playboy playmate. Watching a super model state gruffly, "Kill Crites," is a lot funnier than it probably sounds. There's innuendo worked into the equation in the form of extending intergalactic shotguns, and this manages to elicit its fair share of hardy-har-hars.Is Critters 2 worth watching? It depends. If you like idiotic creature features that know how to successfully self-parody themselves, then "sure," by all means, give it a shot. Just don't be surprised if you find yourself rolling your eyes just as often as the Crites roll down the dusty streets of Grover's Bend.

I loved "Critters",but this sequel wasn't quite that good. The premise had some potential, some Critters eggs were left behind on planet earth and the Bounty Hunters have to return so they can exterminate the furry menace once and for all.Meanwhile it's easter season and Brad Brown is back in town. Now i'm sure you can imagine what happens when you mix Critters eggs and Ester time right?Well...it could have been so much more....Anyway the acting wasn't fantastic,in fact it was quite bad sometimes..the cheesy 80's special effects and rubber dummies are there and they do the job if you like the style (like I do). There is a little bit of gore but nothing special..The humor was dull with some exceptions, like the new Bounty Hunter looking for a identity, the car chasing and the Critters assemble (I loved the fx here...maybe the only original idea) were funny too...but in the end i couldn't help but feel a little bored through the whole movie.I give it 4,5 out of 10.
