As somebody who had not heard any of this before, it became a curious phenomenon to sit and watch a film and slowly have the realities begin to click into place.

Haven't laughed so much for quite a while - at the reviewers here who 'genuinely'? believed this movie deserved more than a one star rating.Honestly folks, this is pure bilge. A truly woeful waste of celluloid.A really pathetic attempt at humour. No director could ever hope to create a spoof on this failure of a spoof.Deplorable.

Definitely not a politically correct movie by any stretch of the imagination. I loved it!! A racially mixed movie that shows a lot of stereotypical typecasting but no racial tensions in the movie which was a little surprising. The Wayan's family is prevalent through out this film. Some of the roles are a little over the top (Essence Atkins for one) but still funny. Dance crews go head to head, one loses, one wins, the losers owe a loan shark for the contest but can't pay him back. They have week to do so. So now the losers need to get some lucre. So many little scenes that are so funny. Some are so ghetto (sorry) but they are really funny. David Allen Grier in a fat suit was not very funny, maybe he needed the money. I never heard of Shoshana Bush but she ain't bad. I really liked the last scene where she was committing to Damon Wayans Jr. until white folks came by and then she plays him as her valet.

Really scary actually ... because it disguises itself as a comedy, although it actually isn't! But seriously though, this movie sucks in a really bad way. As another user wrote, the movie didn't "step up 2 the challenge" (Kudos to Kristine for that summary line). It actually didn't step up 2 anything. After watching this movie (and about every other spoof comedy out there), I was wondering, why it isn't possible to capture the essence, the jokes, the creativity of the Zucker comedies? They look they masterpieces compared to recent "comedies" (well, they are, but you get my point, hopefully). If one of the best jokes is "Came to pick up my son" (if you laugh at that, you might enjoy the movie, more than most people, although I giggled at that and didn't like it), you know you're in for something really bad. The spoof movies nowadays, are more like a Saturday Night Live show. Some sketches, but nothing really coherent. Not to mention the fact, that most people in here, either can't act or did a very good job convincing you, that they actually can't act! One other reason is, the Zucker guys always said, how much they loved the movies they spoofed. I don't get that feeling from those new movies. Most of the jokes just are mean and would work better without a "movie" surrounding them (I think they would work as videos on the internet, on special comedy sites, that have such videos). As you can see by the rating, not really a movie you should be watching out for. Maybe the dance movies aren't really good most of the times, but they still deserve a better comedy made out of them ...

I have seen some of the Wayans Brothers previous movies. Although, I'm not a big fan of spoofs, I do like the occasional one and thought this movie would make me laugh a little (like Scary Movie did), I Was Wrong!! I couldn't finish watching it, it was just... too terrible. The exaggerated jokes are just not funny... AT ALL. I also think there was too much offending going around; I have to admit that I have laughed at offensive jokes in other movies (we all have), but this one just goes over board a bit, to the limit where is just offensive and not funny. I really like comedies and movies that make me laugh in general, I think it makes me feel happier and gives my brain a bit of a vacation from the stress, so I actually feel offended by how the writers thought that we might actually laugh at a bunch of absurdities that don't really make sense. Please, Do Not Waste Your Money on this film and try to find something better to watch.
