I cannot think of one single thing that I would change about this film. The acting is incomparable, the directing deft, and the writing poignantly brilliant.

Just intense enough to provide a much-needed diversion, just lightweight enough to make you forget about it soon after it’s over. It’s not exactly “good,” per se, but it does what it sets out to do in terms of putting us on edge, which makes it … successful?

Kids want more!Lindsay Lohan has major media attention, without being real star material. She'd make a sidekick, sure, but lead girl? I've seen her in both MEAN GIRLS where she was outclassed by Rachel McAdams all the way, and GEORGIA RULES, where the actress playing her mother, Felicity Huffman, stole the show, for freaking crying shame! Hot teen foxes MUST do better, Lindsay-love.In this movie, the brighter star is relegated to playing the bad girl. Megan Fox could blow Lindsay Lohan out of the water at any time, but she had to sit on the sideline portraying a cardboard bad girl, Carla Santini. Megan, in this negative part, as the unlikeable rival, nevertheless managed to attract more attention and made Lindsay seem bland by comparison. And as for Alison Pill, that one barely scrapes by. I do not see what the fuss about Lindsay Lohan really is about. I saw amongst the trivia that the part was originally offered to Hilary Duff. That one's cute, she would have made a much better lead actress, with Lindsay in the supporting Ella role. But I suppose Hilary was off on a rock tour.Movie itself is kinda drab and one big yawn and Walt Disney is really in the doldrums judging by the junk they advertise on the DVD which does succeed to make CONFESSIONS OF A TEENAGE DRANA QUEEN look like a sparkling Ferris wheel. Okay, so I am an old guy and this stuff is marketed at kids but this is the Twenty-First Century so Disney wake up! The kids are advanced and they move past these milk-teeth fodder long before they're out of nappies, dummies and prams. Kids want more!As for this movie, the entire theme is a storm in a teacup, high school play, gmf! That is of course not the point, because for a high-school girl these things would be, like, super-super- important, but the movie is kind of a storm in a teacup itself. As the opposition is such a one-sided badly scripted character, it's not if there ever was much challenge. So the victory is that less sweet. There is no real crisis, other than that the kids think Lola is a fake. The script needed more Z I N G and both Megan and Lindsay could easily have upped it a whole buncha notches while still staying in the Disney all-ages fun-for-the-whole-family realm.

When the teenager Mary Elizabeth Cep, a.k.a. Lola, moves with her mother and two younger twin sisters from New York to the suburb of Dellwood, New Jersey, she has the feeling that her cultural and entertaining world ended. While in school, the displaced Lola becomes close friend of the unpopular Ella, who is also a great fan of the her favorite rock band Sidarthur. However, the most popular girl in the school, Carla Santini, disputes the lead role in an adaptation of Pygmalion with Lola and also the leadership of their mates. When the last concert of Sidarthur is sold-out, Lola plans with Ella to travel to New York and buy the tickets from scalpers. However, the girls get into trouble while helping the lead singer and Lola's idol Stu Wolf, changing their lives forever.Out of many of Lindsey Lohan's films, why should this be the overlooked one? I barely heard it at all when it was released and was greatly ignored by people. Well, I decided to watch it and it's "Mean Girls" minus five. This film is ironically very similar to the movie "Mean Girls" yet it wasn't as popular. Well, this film wasn't that good. You know the movie where it gets people talking after you finish watching it? You know that movie that has a well written script? This isn't that movie. You immediately forget about it after five minutes of the ending and you have felt you've wasted about 90 minutes of your life. While I'm being harsh, I would like to say I like the last fifteen minutes of the film. The first hour and fifteen minutes was at least decent to very bad, in a good way. When the film is bad, you merely enjoy it rather than suffer through it. When the film is decent, you pay attention. And when the film is good, you will give this a chance, just like I did.One very good thing I like is the music performance at the end. I feel it was a waste of talent, though. Lindsay Lohan's performance was decent, although it feels the same like "Mean Girls".This is a very forgettable film. It's not as funny as you expected it will be. The movie should have never been made. It felt like an excuse to make a film to cash in just because Lohan is a star. If you really want to watch this, rent it. It's nothing special but nothing horrible, either.

I personally like the gorgeous Lindsay Lohan, who is a starlet in this movie, acting, singing and dancing in a sweet character. Further, this film is underrated in IMDb User Rating. My vote is seven.Title (Brazil): "Confissões de Uma Adolescente em Crise" ("Confessions of a Teenager in Crisis")

I generally don't berate films here on IMDb that I don't think deserve a thorough bashing. When rating movies I usually take into consideration their genre, audience demographic and such. For example, judging a standard family movie like "Madagascar" against some type of epic adult feature such as "The Godfather" would be ridiculous - different genre, different crowd, different goal as a movie. But "Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen" doesn't even stack up against other family films of its kind. It's equally insulting for children and adults alike. On one level it begs to be some type of satirical comment on drama queens and materialism, but that's EXACTLY what the film falls victim to - its lead character, played by the despicable Lindsay Lohan, is a trashy drama queen who apparently spends all her free time lusting after a hunky teen icon. And just knowing about Lohan's drama queen antics in real life makes this character seem just a little bit too realistic. She's supposed to be the heroine of this film, but after five minutes I already hated her. And I'm not a prepossessed Lohan basher - I enjoyed her performance (or, rather, performances) in the Parent Trap remake - but she is just completely irritating here. The plot line is borderline idiotic and a very generic run-of-the-mill pre-teen flick: a rich brat has to move to a new place and leave all her friends behind, but the twist here - ARE YOU READY FOR IT?? Because it's an absolutely brilliant one - anyway, the twist here is that...get ready for it...she's a DRAMA QUEEN! Haha! Somebody give the screenwriter who came up with this concept a few million, because that's absolutely brilliant. As if any other character in a flick like this isn't already dramatic enough - making the character a drama queen just makes her consistent whining even all the MORE enjoyable! (Not.) I really came away hating this movie. It left me with a bad feeling in my gut. There's something kind of sleazy and insulting about it. It's supposed to appeal to our daughters, but I don't think I'd want any daughter of mine looking up to Lindsay Lohan - especially in a role like THIS - as any type of role model. Maybe it's just me but I feel no sympathy for a character as unlikeable as the one in this movie. Sorry, Ms. Lohan.
