This is a dark and sometimes deeply uncomfortable drama

A great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.

This is quite simply the most appalling piece of television I have ever seen. There really are too many reasons to list for why this show is so unfunny, and so I will just say that the format of weird family has been done to death, and that this adds nothing to the genre. In fact, it probably sets it back about a thousand years. Moreover, the sets are so cringe-makingly fake that you wonder why the producers even went to the effort and expense of finding backdrops, when it would have been just as believable for all of the action to take place in front of a blue screen.Suffice it to say that should you ever find yourself in a position where you have to make the choice between watching this show or cutting your eyeballs with razorblades, I strongly recommend that you take the latter option.

I was a bit bemused by this show at first, but after a couple of episodes it's grown on me and I look forward to seeing more of it. Yes, it's a DUMB show, that's the whole point. If you watch this show and think "wow the writers/network must really not know how stupid this show is, i must inform them", then you are completely missing the point. Obviously no one who creates a show this weird is trying to be conventionally clever or taken seriously. The basis for most of the humour is the ridiculousness of the idea that any of it ever could be taken seriously, and if you can't grasp that then the joke is on you and this show is just plain over your head. I think Andy Richter Controls The Universe is a better written show, but The Pitts makes me laugh more, and it's more intelligent humour than the constant random sex and drug references that pass for jokes on Family Guy.

Well, I don't know what Fox was thinking. They cancel shows like Family Guy and Futurama and put The Pitts in a prime spot. Okay, perhaps it's supposed to be a commentary on bad television shows, but it doesn't do it well. At all.Oh yes, you can definitely tell this show has the writers of The Simpsons involved, specifically because the current writers of The Simpsons couldn't write a good joke to save their lives. Both the recent seasons of The Simpsons as well as The Pitts rely on cheap laughs over fart jokes, injuries and the word "ass". The laugh track is irritating and I just wanna backhand each and every one of the actors. Oh that would be so sweet.Fox needs to stop trying to create "quirky" and "nutty" shows and concentrate on holding on to quality stuff they already have.

This is so stupid. I mean, it is one of the dumbest shows ever. I shouldn't have to try this hard to laugh. Why make a show that is purposely trying to not be funny. Did the FOX executives think that people would lower their IQs for this crap. Even worse, it replaced Andy Richter Controls the Universe, which was actually a funny show. What were they thinking? The writing is sooooo bad. I just saw an episode where a beaver killed a doll that had stolen The Pitts' home. What's sad is that some of these plots could be funny, but they then turn into complete crapola. To conclude, this show should be on UPN.
