    Tells a fascinating and unsettling true story, and does so well, without pretending to have all the answers.

    The thing I enjoyed most about the film is the fact that it doesn't shy away from being a super-sized-cliche;

    Golden Girls is funny, witty and charming and breaks the stereotypes of only young folk living a young person's life. I'm surprised the show didn't address STDs and safe sex and all that, but maybe that's not a surprise because Reagan, who was President during the show's run, didn't even mention AIDS during his eight years in the White House. Great to see Betty White becoming a SNL host.

    sooner or later in every episode one of them will say something and then make a dramatic exit leaving the other two to stare at each other or trail after her bombarding her with questions. Count on it. And I wish they hadn't made Rose quite so stupid. Funny sometimes but a lot of times it's ridiculous.

    The show is based on four elderly women living together in Miami, FL.Within the shows seven season run many of societies day to day issues were highlighted, teen pregnancy, senior health care, gay marriage, lesbianism, adultery, age and race discrimination, divorce and many others. The women who starred in this show are of the highest caliber. Rose (Betty White) plays a simpleton from St Olaf, Minnesota. Dorothy (Bea Arthur) is from Brooklyn and her mother Sophia (Estelle Getty) was in an "old folks home" called Shady Pines. Blanche (Rue McClanahan) owns the home the girls live in and is very promiscuous. From performing in a play to being shipwrecked on an island these girls go through it all and come out stronger. These episodes still hold the test of time…even today. Worth a watch...and many more.

    One of my all time favorite television shows!! Betty white, Bea Arthur, Rue, and Estelle Getty are hilarious!! The sarcastic Dorothy and Sophia kill me, love them!! They should make shoes like this still today! I'm so glad it still comes on hallmark and Logo, so that I can enjoy it. I'm in the process of buying all the seasons on DVD so I can have it just in case the reruns were to ever go off the air. Cus really this show is funny, heartfelt and they really wrapped it up well in the last season, with Dorothy finally getting married, Stan moving on, and Sophia, Blanche, and rose will still live together, loved it, might have shed just 1 tear haha. Overall a 9/10. One of the classics in television!!
