A Brilliant Conflict

This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.

I didn’t really have many expectations going into the movie (good or bad), but I actually really enjoyed it. I really liked the characters and the banter between them.

There's no way I can possibly love it entirely but I just think its ridiculously bad, but enjoyable at the same time.

This show is an annoying abomination. Each episode consists of a power hungry mad scientist named Rick coming up with a scheme to grab power. He will drag his nephew, Morty, along to be a scape goat or distraction. Morty will reluctantly agree to go along with his uncle. Now people think these two are based on Marty McFly and Doc Brown from Back to the Future. Other than a vague likeness, they have nothing in common. Rick is an irredeemably awful human and that's really the whole point. Watch this evil human being ruin the universe and drag everyone down to his level. The "humor" is farting, passing out drunk, burping, etc. This show isn't worth watching. It's crap.

This show is on par with South Park in terms of sheer stupidity. But, while South Park was able to ocassionally make poignant social commentary, any semblance of intelligence or skill is completely disolved. A temporary cultural phenomenon that, once jaded, is thrown to the floor and trampled as one of the worst, most inane shows ever made. I cannot wait for this day, when Rick and Morty is considered with the same lack of respect that South Park now received.Unfortunately, the majority of people are complete idiots, and find this show wildly entertaining. Unfortunately this is the same culture that elected Trump president, and the same culture that is often made fun of by the rest of the world as the dumbest people alive. This show proves the point -- Americans think fart and burp jokes are the epitome of comedy.You have to be partially brain-dead to enjoy programming like this.

Well let's say this is not like the Simpson's however it's definitely great like the early Simpsons were for their time, as this is for our time. Let's hope the recent news of many more episodes means the standards continue. Any middle aged people out there who are curious like I was, look past the cartoon delivery and expect to binge all current sessions.

When I first watched Rick and Morty I didn't know what to think, but after a couple episodes I fell in love with it because of the jokes and the gags. This show is the holy grail of adult cartoons. Keep in mind though, that some of the jokes might be hard to understand if you are not an intellectual. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a show to binge watch.
