I actually really enjoyed this show - I blitzed it over the course of a week. I don't usually write reviews, however after all the negativity I'm seeing when reading the reviews of this show I felt it was worth giving my side of the story as some of the criticism is just unfair. This was recommended to me by my CIO and my sister who both loved it. I'm definitely a TV series addict and had run out of good shows to watch so gave this a shot. If i'm not grabbed by the first few episodes I never stick it out. This show kept me till the end. For a show only lasting one season I was surprised how well they managed to get the viewer to buy into the lead characters. That's down to both great acting and good writing. I thought the delivery was great and there were no boring/flat filler episodes unlike some shows with ten times the budget (GOT). I've seen the reviews criticising white male bashing and liberalism - what a joke. One of the leads was a white male who I thought was the true star of the show. There was 1 ten min scene in the whole show about police brutality - wake up - it happens - the show didn't spend 13 episodes on that, it was 10 mins and i thought it was dealt with well. Some people just do not like to see a black lead in a show, and that says more about them than it does the show. To add to that, I hadn't seen Lex (the main lead) before and I thought he was very believable, poised and played the lead very well. He carried the show with the right level of decision/indecision, always right/too often wrong, which made it true to life. I have to say, episode 11 - just wow - one of the most touching episodes I've seen in a show (and trust me I've seen a lot!) - really surprised this hasn't been talked about more in the reviews. WHAT GREAT ACTING!!!!!!! congrats to everyone involved in that episode. really well done. When an episode has you thinking about it days, weeks after you've seen it, now that's great TV. Thank you.All in all the only thing that disappointed me was the ending. Too many loose ends, a slight 'is that it? is there another episode i'm unaware of?' feeling. I expected the book to be closed but they have left it open ended. My sister liked this approach to the ending. I was not so pleased. They could have had another season now that the Corden has a new addition and see how that played out while they try to refine the cure. Also they could have developed the story about how it was managed from the outside now the evil witch has been relived of her duties lolstill - all in all really enjoyed the show and have recommended it to all searching for a new show to watch.

Not only do we get the "White Male Police Brutality", we get the cuckolding of the of the "White Male". Way to keep the horseshit alive there liberal retards. There is such a thing as reverse racism and this ranks up there on that list. This is one of the main reasons I have stopped going to the theaters and now it appears I will have to stop watching anything produced via the Hollywood types. Really is sad the level of idiocy being produced. I remember when telling a story did not involve utilizing political jargon. I also remember when acting did not involve a green screen for effects and talent was real and not subjective.

I don't know how this got a rating of, currently, 7.2. There must be a lot of newbies who haven't watched TV before. This was quite boring and predictable. The people who gave it a 10 must be living in the outback of Australia. In fact, come to think of it, one of the 10's was from an Australian. It's the sort of show when all the people in charge, all the professional high level police and doctors suddenly lose their composure, their training and start shouting people at the tops of their voices. Yeah, that's gonna work. This story is so unlike real life it is not worth watching. All you do is get annoyed at the pathetic script.
