The movie's neither hopeful in contrived ways, nor hopeless in different contrived ways. Somehow it manages to be wonderful

I didn’t really have many expectations going into the movie (good or bad), but I actually really enjoyed it. I really liked the characters and the banter between them.

Absolutely atrocious. My friends tried to watch it to laugh at it, but we couldn't even do it. We had to turn it off after 15 minutes in utter disgust and disbelief. Everything about it is terrible...the acting, the dialogue, the story, the cinematography, the "special effects," etc. Who's idea was it to cast rappers? They have no musical talent, so they must be able to act? Simply terrible. It must be rented and viewed so that you can come to a new appreciation of what a terrible movie really is. Hey, you might get a laugh out of it too, but for me it was just so bad that I couldn't even mock it.

i actually remember borrowing this off a friend about 4 years ago and realised how rubbish it was. Then about 6 months ago i was in a shop that sells everything for a pound I found a DVD 'urban menace and 'wrecking crew'. I thought well i haven't seen wrecking crew so i thought well its only a pound, little did i know i was about to witness possibly, no definitely the worst two films on one disc. I mean i could have bought a 10 pack of crisps or sweets instead, i was tempted to take it back but it would be too embarrassing for £1. The funny thing is its actually serious film but surely after they made it they must have thought this is Shiite. Also it has the guy from 'coming to America' with the shiny hair lol...tacky

this was thrown together for apparently "no" budget, really..shot on digital video.. Snoop Dogg doesn't even "act" here; the director excerpts video footage from interviews and stage performances mostly (with a voice-over implying that his character is a drug dealer turned music producer); then there is a very brief staged scene with Snoop running around shooting guns.. he doesn't even get to have a "death" scene.. instead, a sniper's sight graphic appears on the screen, zeroes in on Snoop, and then "Bang", all goes red.. Ice T co-produced this... he has a limited role as a hit-man who takes out crooks for his own benefit.. I guess it does well enough at video stores to make a profit.. but it's just blah overall..

I disagree with some of the other comments that the film isn't so bad it's funny, I thought this was so bad it was hilarious! Watching Big Pun wearing a Big Pun T shirt and mumbling along reading his lines from a board - I could barely stop laughing through the whole thing. Luckily the final (brutal) cut makes the movie just under an hour. Watch it if you get the chance.1/10 for acting, directing, story10/10 for the mumbling fat manRegister your vote, this deserves a bottom 100 place. Just confirms that rappers and movies generally don't mix well!
