if their story seems completely bonkers, almost like a feverish work of fiction, you ain't heard nothing yet.

Exactly the movie you think it is, but not the movie you want it to be.

How did 4 big name rap superstars end up in a film like this? It reminds me of an old Adam & Joe sketch where they auditioned for genuine actors, cast the worst ones on purpose, and then deliberately made the most badly shot, rubbishly scripted 'hard hitting' gangsta film ever. For a joke. Well Urban Menace - is- that film, except in reality. A bunch of guys messing around and trying to act tough in a big poorly lit warehouse for an hour. The highlight of this bizarre calamity is Big Pun, who might have a posthumous claim for Worst Actor Ever. He is so bad it's surreal. Can anyone even understand a word he says? One of his lines that I'm guessing was supposed to be "so she had a change of heart" came out as "saaaa shaa shaaaa saaaaaaa". Skilled rapper yes, skilled line deliverer in bad film when attempting to act, not so much.To make matters weirder the whole movie is bathed in a trippy blue/gray light that makes it resemble some kind of boring dream. In fact maybe this was a dream? Yeah I'll go with that.

"Urban Menace" is another one of those edge-of-your-seat, spine-tingling action drama movies out there. Everything from start to finish is so wonderful; the action sequences are what make this film the most exciting ever! However, some parts may be a little bit emotional, but the excitement put into this wonderful work of art sets this film apart from all of the other films. Basically, this movie shows that life isn't that easy, and some things that were not meant to be done must be taken cared of immediately! "Urban Menace" is a 10 stars out of 10 stars action flick. I tell you, if I liked this movie, then you will too. After that, you'll think it's exciting also!

this was thrown together for apparently "no" budget, really..shot on digital video.. Snoop Dogg doesn't even "act" here; the director excerpts video footage from interviews and stage performances mostly (with a voice-over implying that his character is a drug dealer turned music producer); then there is a very brief staged scene with Snoop running around shooting guns.. he doesn't even get to have a "death" scene.. instead, a sniper's sight graphic appears on the screen, zeroes in on Snoop, and then "Bang", all goes red.. Ice T co-produced this... he has a limited role as a hit-man who takes out crooks for his own benefit.. I guess it does well enough at video stores to make a profit.. but it's just blah overall..

I disagree with some of the other comments that the film isn't so bad it's funny, I thought this was so bad it was hilarious! Watching Big Pun wearing a Big Pun T shirt and mumbling along reading his lines from a board - I could barely stop laughing through the whole thing. Luckily the final (brutal) cut makes the movie just under an hour. Watch it if you get the chance.1/10 for acting, directing, story10/10 for the mumbling fat manRegister your vote, this deserves a bottom 100 place. Just confirms that rappers and movies generally don't mix well!
