To me, this movie is perfection.

It was OK. I don't see why everyone loves it so much. It wasn't very smart or deep or well-directed.

A great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.

It's amazing that Kelly Brook's character can actually be more dislikeable as the film goes on. You can create a drinking game every time you hear her British accent come out. Billy Zane seems to revel in the role, but I think it's because he gets to spend the shoot on an island and he doesn't have to shave his head.Juan Pablo Di Pace plays a good hornball.

Plot holes so big you could run the U.S.S. Gerald R. Ford through them, and enough of them to handle the rest of the CVN-78's support vessels... the most glaring of which is the Zippo that, despite being submerged in sea water for two days, still lights the cigarettes that spent the same two days underwater. Also, the whole voodoo priestess subplot was ancillary and a complete supererogation of pretense.Ill-conceived and poorly executed, this film's biggest problem was that there is too much time between the opening and closing credits. It was supposed to be a thriller, but it wasn't the least bit thrilling... except when the wife was behaving like the trophy she was (since she didn't display the least bit of intelligence, competence, or ability). None of the characters are the least bit likable, and the "plot" is absurdly predictable, so you find your attention wanders easily. Furthermore, none of the characters learn any lessons, so there is no growth from the shallow, superficial, self-absorbed snots that start the movie, and the shallow, superficial, self-absorbed snots who end it.Final analysis: Don't waste your time.

A chartered cruise on a luxury yacht turns into a nightmare when it catches fire and a couple barely escapes to a seemingly deserted island. They have to survive the ordeal, but their personalities are not exactly matching. It's a different kind of movie from the standard American movie format. Cruising on a chartered yacht isn't part of the American psyche as much as it is with the Europeans. I'm into boats, so I kind of like this type of movie. The movie is beautifully produced even if the story is somewhat predictable. I watched it without expecting much, but I got more than I expected.Luckily for them, the island has coconut trees, and they have water and food from them as well as fishes and lobsters from the reef.Survival themed programs were popular when this movie was made, and it reminds me of watching Survivor or some other reality show, but the actors were lot better in this movie.I kind of liked this movie, it wasn't as boring as some reviewers have mentioned. It's just a different kind of a story from the usual Hollywood adventure movies. I liked the scenery, and the island little bit made me wish that I was there.

I expected bad acting, nearly acceptable plot and a nice looking actress.. But actually what I saw was acceptable acting, really beautiful actress and a great plot. Something new for me, something unexpected. This film kept me interested all of the time and especially at the end. I can predict most of the endings of films that I see usually but this.. this was not even close to my assumption. I give it 9/10 because I think that with not much money they have made a 10 times better film than most of the big budget movies that came out the last few years. P.S. I really don't understand why the most useful comment for this film is so critical.. for me the film is worth seeing :)
