The Waiting List Trailers

At a rundown bus station in rural Cuba, the line of passengers waiting just keeps getting longer. The problem is that every bus that passes by is already full. Their only hope is to wait for the station's bus to be fixed. As the disparate group settles in, relationships start forming between the passengers: Emilio, a young engineer, becomes smitten with a beautiful young woman who is en route to meet her Spanish fiancé, a blind man gets support from the others to go to the head of the line. Frustration and disorder reign when the one bus brakes down and no one can leave. Resigned to working together, the group magically transforms the station into a beautiful place where no one wants to leave.

The performances transcend the film's tropes, grounding it in characters that feel more complete than this subgenre often produces.

Let me be very fair here, this is not the best movie in my opinion. But, this movie is fun, it has purpose and is very enjoyable to watch.

well done! That is reason why I love to watch foreign movies, they don't have to have lots of special effects, or fancy dresses, good makeups, etc. This movie is universal. Even though life is different in different countries, but humanity is the same. While watching it, I was wondering how come there was no more bus coming to that station, and why didn't the girl who works at the station come to work again, etc, then it had a twist which totally surprised me.The music was well selected, and I also like that one song which was specially composed for this movie. It is also funny to see them using a chest to bury a man, and they had to open the top drawer in order to pay last respect. It is hard to make a film entirely based at a bus station, but the director is excellent. The actors are wonderful, the story is believable, that is why this movie still has a high rating. No matter how hard the situation is, where they are, people can always make the best out of their lives. Isn't life just like a bus station, people come into your life, but there will always be a time to say goodbye, and you will always have a fond memory of a few of those people you have met.

It is a simple movie pleasant and well directed. Fresh air: a collective dream where the characters give the best of themselves. You feel criticism and meanwhile deep hope in potentialities of Cuba society.I perceived something of Bunuel's films here, but without his cynism. 'Lista de espera' is a naive movie worth to see.

When I saw this film on a trans Atlantic flight from Madrid to Miami I really enjoyed it a lot. It was great to see in which way Cubans interprete and defend their revolution. > Excellent actuation, excellent director - only the music lacked a little bit. After having seen "Fresa y chocolate" and "Guantanamera" I can only hope for more films by Juan Carlos Tabio.

If you like romance, humor, and a fresh story, this movie is for you. It deals in a poetic and unexpected way with the day to day difficulties in Cuba. The acting is very convincing, and the plot is full of unexpected twists.I liked it a lot, and I hope you will.
