This movie is the proof that the world is becoming a sick and dumb place

It isn't all that great, actually. Really cheesy and very predicable of how certain scenes are gonna turn play out. However, I guess that's the charm of it all, because I would consider this one of my guilty pleasures.

It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.

You might be confused by my summary above if you haven watched this movie. I named it such because those two lines made up about half of the entire movie's dialogue. This movie is ridiculous; it is very difficult to follow because of its slow pace and lack of storyline. Every character is unlikeable: an adopted woman name Sam who inherits a house from her biological family, a sound person (for what reason, I'm unsure, because it's never clarified), an obnoxious blond, a friend of Sam who apparently has an abusive past that we hear about once but is never clarified, and a creepy neighbor, who keeps bringing up his past with Sam but never fully explains everything. If you like a lot of running in the woods, repeated questions, and a story with holes in it, then this is the movie for you!

I just watched this movie & have no idea about what it's about! The acting & scenery was OK but the plot was awful! What's the story with the hallucinations & who is the caretaker really? This movie didn't answer any questions I had, the ending did not make any sense to me. Don't waste your time watching this movie unless you like to be confused! Well I guess I have to add some more criticism or it won't post my review. Terrible movie, I wish I hadn't wasted my day watching it! Someone else wrote in a review that Sam & the caretaker guy were brother & sister, I have no idea how they figured that out. Knowing that still does not help me figure out the movie! I think the writer must have ADHD & cannot form any flowing thoughts.

We just watched the film and enjoyed up until the ending. We know Sam and Eric are brother and sister and were abused as kids. Questions: Who killed the family, Why did the police have pictures of the friends that show them at a younger age, and why were bro and sis kissing at the end. I want to like this movie but, it seemed that the end was rushed and not thought out well enough. The viewer couldn't understand the conclusion. Can someone elaborate on the ending! As for the rest of the movie the acting was just OK. The area was spooky and fit the atmosphere. I like movies on a small budget because it gives the feeling of reality. Big budget films have a polished look to them, which doesn't work well with horror films. I grew up on Halloween, Prom Night, Carrie, Phantasm, and many more. Younger people might not get this idea. Horror film buffs will.

After reading all of the excessively negative reviews I was inclined to watch the movie as there seemed to be more of an underlying hate campaign than an actual dissemination of positive information. With leads such as 'brainless', you have to wonder if most of these posts come from competitors? Anyways, I enjoyed the movie and thought there were several positive aspects, most notably the cinematography. Setting the stage for a thoroughly creepy movie was well done through the footage. I was also impressed by the depth of characters and the sound. I am by no means an expert movie critic, but I do know how to enjoy a good movie. I've seen much worse than this on the big screen. To be perfectly realistic it wasn't my favorite all time movie, but I do not believe that any of the previous reviews are doing any justice to the film, which is the nature of the internet forum. Do yourself a favor and judge for yourself as we all know that reviews can be excessively misleading.
