I cannot think of one single thing that I would change about this film. The acting is incomparable, the directing deft, and the writing poignantly brilliant.

I think there is a really nice story to look at, but the movie was a bit heavy, so they would have tried to shoot an alien movie at a lower cost than other films so much that Saoirse Ronan was really good at playing in short I have to say the last thing wanda died in the end it would have been better if i did not like the last part

So, I forgot this was a Meyer book adaption, so I watched it.It was the eyes, they pulled me in. I have a thing for blue eyes in entertainment (Thanks DUNE).Anyway, the movie version wasn't bad. It was a interesting take on alien invasion movies, which I have grown up on. And LOVE.I can't say how on point to he book it is, or anything like that because I have not read the book, and probably wont. It felt like a teenish drama movie, like the Percy movies, and Hungergames, just this time with aliens. It really was surprisingly good. The acing was spot on. Saoirse Una Ronan, who plays the main character Melanie/Wanda, makes feel and see the difference when she switches between herself and the alien host. Which, as we have seen in other movies where one actor plays multiple roles, that is not always easy. Then add to it, that she was acting next to Diane Kruger, who played The Seeker/Lacey, and William Hurt who played Jeb, and you can see just how talented she really is.I found that at times I was rooting for the Host, and other times the Alien. Then I would be laughing. It's one of those movies where you see that a good story can happen without nudity, a lot of violence, or blood. Now, if this fits the book, NO IDEA.But, again, even if you are not a fan of the original creator, I would suggest you give the movie a chance.

Awful acting, awful design choices and it's not fit to be called science fiction. The Emoji movie was more entertaining than this.Dying would be preferable to watching this septic tank of a film again.

The plot was dull, ancient recycled cheese, the sfx, camera-work and locations weren't noticeably good, there was no excitement, but somehow I found myself sitting through this movie, mesmerized, drawn into it despite myself. And then I checked who played the part of Wanda, and realized why. Saoirse Ronan. I loved her performance in The Lovely Bones, and she's every bit as captivating in this. Must watch out for more movies starring her.As for the rest of it - imagine a soppy remake of Invasion of the Bodysnatchers with fluffy caterpillars...
