When a movie has you begging for it to end not even half way through it's pure crap. We've all seen this movie and this characters millions of times, nothing new in it. Don't waste your time.

Very good movie overall, highly recommended. Most of the negative reviews don't have any merit and are all pollitically based. Give this movie a chance at least, and it might give you a different perspective.

There's not much more to add, most of the facts about this movie has already been posted in these reviews, but I want to add that this is a B-movie parody. If you're going into this thinking that this will give you that chill down your spine and you'll be scared to go pee in the middle of the night, this movie is not for you. Instead I suggest loading up on drugs, because you're in for a fucking acid-trip. It's a good movie for what it is, if you go into the movie thinking that it will be a parody and that they don't take themselves seriously then this movie is gonna be great for you. The acting is awkward and weird, the camera does its own thing and there's just so, so many weird, badly done effects. Nothing makes sense. What really did it for me though was the outro. I'm assumig most people aren't going to make this so far, but it mentions that no animals, spirits, demons (besides the Incubus), or humans were harm in the making of this movie, and they thank their kids, partners, parents, pets and friends for putting up with them.

Moving into a new house, a couple finds the locked room in their basement houses a dangerous demonic being trapped within that turns him into a ravenous, lust-desiring maniac to feed the spirit and forces her to look at the occult measures that originally stopped it to do so again. This one here was quite the enjoyable haunted house effort. One of the best aspects of this one is how it manages to rein in plenty of sleazy elements alongside plenty of traditional horror elements. From the beginning where the demon is shown sexually stimulating the daughter in her bedroom, this one lets on the idea of utilizing both effectively which carries on nicely here with the remaining parts of the film. That includes the scenes of the separated duo being pleased by what they assume is the other one only to find out otherwise later on, the sensual scene in the laundry room being molested by the demon unknowingly as well as the intimidation tactics in the restaurant that offer some really enjoyable elements to tie into its central theme. Even the flashback to the hippie party in the past that unleashes the main demon comes off well with its solid mixture of combining the erotic elements featured in the nudity with the scenes of the creature running wild on the remaining guests which has some great action featured. There's also some fun to be had with more traditional horror elements including such strong and intense tie-ins for the occult used throughout the different history's within the house and how the connection with the released demon works into the storyline all comes together nicely which is what makes the horror scenes so much fun. The attacks on the different guests to the house as well as the final reveal of the different creatures within the sealed room that is full of pulpy wombs, blood-splattered walls and tentacles that really create quite a visual impression as well as giving this the kind of sleazy feel that makes for quite an enjoyable finale. The fine action that results in the aftermath of the creatures' release stalking them through the house also manages to work incredibly well here in giving this a truly enjoyable style that works hand-in-hand with the stellar work throughout the rest of the film. As well as the stellar use of practical props with minimal CGI involved here, these elements really give this one a ton to like to hold out over it's minor and barely detrimental flaws. The main issue here is in why they don't recognize the behavior changes earlier and done more to stop it, as it's plain the changes made to him and it really should've done more to play up that something's wrong with that than what's done here. Even some of the other incidents in the house don't raise the kind of questions that should've been brought up as their amorous antics that no one else really claims could've been given more weight here. Beyond this, though, there's not much else wrong here.Rated Unrated/R: Graphic Violence, Full Nudity, Graphic Violence and sexual situations.

A young couple (Natasha Henstridge and Lukas Hassle) moves into the house of their dreams which quickly becomes a living nightmare when they discover a dark secret awaiting them in the cellar. This film is getting some awful reviews. And yes, indeed, it is not a great movie. But look at it for what it is. I think Rolfe Kanefsky succeeds in what he set out to do -- get together a large handful of genre stars and get them to make a somewhat scandalous horror film.Honestly, there are far, far worse films out there, especially in the horror genre. This one at least redeems itself by having a sense of humor. And yes, it is more smutty than I typically appreciate in a film, but that is exactly what it set out to be. So I can understand mixed feelings, but the overly negative responses seem harsh.

The Black Room (2016)Cast: Natasha Henstridge, Lukas Hassle, Lin Shaye, Augie DukeDirector: Rolfe KanefskyOverview: Natasha Henstridge & Lukas Hassle star as a married couple that has just moved into their dream house. That turns into a nightmare as they discover that a presence is waiting for them in the basement.Review: The Black Room is a horror that explores the black arts of summoning and trapping a demon. Cutting the story short, Miss Black trapped this demon in her youth after a party went terribly wrong and it gets loose and causes havoc for Jennifer & Paul. The movie had a good concept but was executed poorly, with bad characters/development that I didn't care for. The film starts with showing us a preview of what happened before the new couple moves in, giving us a small glimpse of the evil presence and what it is capable of. This was followed by an overly long & over the top title sequence. As mentioned previously after being introduced to the new home owners it doesn't take long for things to start happening, almost instantly we are down in the basement meeting the demon's first victim. Followed later that evening with seeing a glimpse of the power and strength the demon has. Later seeing Paul getting possessed which happens very sudden, stiff and unnatural.Let's talk a bit about the visuals of the movie, the special effects were executed poorly and a lot of the time unbelievable however the set design towards inside the black room I found to be very good if not a little gory like you would imagine giving birth to be.Despite most of the movie being bad, the soundtrack was fantastic and it gave the film at least some form of atmosphere. Overall I thought the movie wasn't great, it was executed poorly, the story was below average and the effects were bad. However, it was slightly amusing and a very raunchy horror movie if you have time to kill sure watch it otherwise I wouldn't bother.2 out 5 bloody hands purely for the soundtrack and concept.
