It's not great by any means, but it's a pretty good movie that didn't leave me filled with regret for investing time in it.

n my opinion it was a great movie with some interesting elements, even though having some plot holes and the ending probably was just too messy and crammed together, but still fun to watch and not your casual movie that is similar to all other ones.

A film with more than the usual spoiler issues. Talking about it in any detail feels akin to handing you a gift-wrapped present and saying, "I hope you like it -- It's a thriller about a diabolical secret experiment."

It´s so funny to see people giving this movie 1 star and others 10 or 9 stars. As in most cases, the true lies in the middle. To me is a 6 to 7 out of 10 Suburbicon is a good noir movie. If you liked movies like Fargo, blood simple you´re probably going to enjoy this one too. Yes, it´s true it starts a little bit slow but overall has a decent rhythm Matt Damon, Julian Moore and Oscar Isaac deliver a solid performance and George Clooney does his best to make the brothers Coen proud. So, is Suburbicon a masterpiece? No. Is Suburbicon a bad or awful movie? The answer is no neither

I love Matt Damon's work. Clooney's, too. But this one hurts. The plot is: Man (and woman) kills wife to be with woman. Simple, right? But, the sub-plot, if you wish to call it that is: Another family is ruthlessly attacked by a racist community. Now, what is annoying is NOT that we were duped into watching this documentary on racism in America, but, that this sub-plot has absolutely NOTHING to do with the main plot. These are two totally different movies, forced into one, and we keep hoping that eventually that they will merge--but they never do. Sure, the boys get together in the end, but, really, by then, it's too late to call this "sub-plot" anything BUT unnecessary.

If you have time to see any movie... choose another one. Absolutely meaningless movie. Only two thing was good in this movie i like 50's USA feeling, and some actor's play was very good.... but thats all.. Forgettable...

This movie is so bad that it should get an Oscar for the worst. I watched it for the Coens' writing but now I know they have to direct a movie too if it is an actual Coen brothers movie. I know Clooney is not that bad a director so why would he put it out? He probably thought that with the Coen name it would automatically make money. Seeing Matt Damon in True Grit is an obvious example of how any actor can look bad in a badly written and directed movie. To use the race card in a movie like this is in bad taste especially with the liberal media bashing of our current President. I wonder if the Coens have reached their limit in making good movies?
