Strong acting helps the film overcome an uncertain premise and create characters that hold our attention absolutely.

It's funny, it's tense, it features two great performances from two actors and the director expertly creates a web of odd tension where you actually don't know what is happening for the majority of the run time.

this film is in my top 5 films for Xmas this I regard as very close to the top one I love this because its really a family orientated film with Leslie Nielson portraying Santa for the second time as his character goes out for a spin this Xmas and quiet literally hits a storm and comes down to earth with a bump so as we see a TV news reporter having a bad day on the job on Xmas eve and his boss say he quiet literally need something to save his job and ratings so he has to come up with catchy to help like Santa eye but as the last thing peter all bright expected that a star attraction would fall onto his literally as this happens Santa forgets who is after the fall and cant remember his job details or his seasonal songs peter tired of Xmas being to hyped up he thinks he can make a good human story out this and milk it for all his worth as he tries to find who is through theraphy his on off partner Claire tries to get him a job the only one who believes is Claire's 7year old son as he find stuff belonging to nick to try and make him believe but in the north pole an all out rescue is being hatched as the head elf named max finds clue in new York to find him the boss and rescue the spirit of Xmas to give peter his wish and give Xmas hope at 7/10 and 1hr28mins its a lovely movie to have and go crazy this is my 126 review

I love this movie and watch it every year. I love little Max Morrow actually getting to act in something. He didn't get much of a chance to do that in Monk. The story is unique and great. The only downsides to the movie in my eyes are the elf segments. They are stupid, but I guess they're interesting to kids. It does suffer, though, from the all-too-common "males are bad/idiotic" stereo-type: The little boy who tortures Santa while the sweet little girl tries to talk to him, Peter as a Grinch because of a bad childhood, the airport security guys stupidly falling into tricks of the elves, the guys who get tied up by the elves etc. Not a single female had any negative qualities. Well, except perhaps the woman who complained about her headache. At least Santa gets to look good most of the time in the movie. Overall, it's a charming film with a great story.

I enjoyed this film, it is always nice to have a way to just relax and watch a Christmas movie when it is cold outside.. There is a reason a lot of people should have an icon like Santa Claus...The fantasy and mesmerizing aura of a jolly old man who is Mr Benfactor for millions and millions of children is of course the primary reason!! Other reasons however, extend to the adults!! Christmas and Santa Claus perpetuate a spirit of giving and spark a realization of how fortunate we as Americans really are, hence, we should be more like Santa Claus, and act like it is Christmas all the time!!! Steven Eckholdt was fantastic in this movie!! I am glad I watched it and I will watch it again and again...By the way: Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone!!
