Lack of good storyline.
... View MoreIt's entirely possible that sending the audience out feeling lousy was intentional
... View MoreThe movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.

... View MoreI hardly EVER take the time to write reviews, so the fact that I have decided to write one for this show speaks volumes!! Ironically, I almost DIDN'T watch it because the blurb sounded like it was a show directed more at teenagers / younger folks (I am 46). However, as soon as I started watching, I was completely hooked - the acting on this show is the best I have seen in a long time, possibly ever! Every single character on this show is utterly amazing and totally credible. I think my personal favourite is Rae's mother; I had seen that actress in other things before but never realized quite how outstanding she was!! And the MUSIC!!!! Oh my goodness, I'd watch this show for the music alone...lots of Radiohead, Oasis etc. My favourite kind of music and it reminds me of when I was younger... This show manages to be tragic, sad, funny, witty all at the same time - kind of like life itself, right?? Watch it!!!
... View MoreThis show is top notch AMAZING. I cannot wait to find out if there will be a series 3. If not I may cry. This show perfectly describes troubling problems that Rae goes through. It also addresses many problems other teens go through. If your trying to decide to watch it I'm telling you WATCH IT! ~mild spoiler alert~ I think eve though Finn wasn't in the original Rae Earl diaries he fits perfectly in, and helps Rae a lot. I just hope they end up together, and Rae can get over thinking she can't be with Finn because of her body. This show hits close to home with me only making me love it more. I really hope the continue with the show. For many years to come.
... View MoreWhen I first saw the name of the series, it didn't impressed me that much. But still it took my interest. I was watching too many series that I forced myself not to watch "My Mad Fat Diary", but somehow I started it and it was the best decision. This TV show is the best TV show I've ever watched. It is like a movie, you're not feeling like you are watching a TV show. And it gives you something. You can learn a lot from it. I personally think that every teenager should watch it or maybe read the book (I haven't read it yet) just to free their minds from prejudgements, stereotypes, low self-esteem, hating yourself etc. Things you will regret when you are a grown up.
... View MoreSaw this advertised and watched the first episode but didn't really have an opinion either way. Anyway, after another weekend of awful weather and even worse TV, decided to give it a try.... What a surprise!! I watched episode 2 and instantly became hooked. I really enjoyed this show as it deals with mental illness from a different perspective and show the benefits of what counselling can do for some people. There were great story lines coupled with some outstanding performances from all characters, particularly Rae, Kester and Rae's mum. Hoping this has been commissioned for a second season as it's one of the best TV show I've watched in ages!! Season finale absolutely brilliant but make sure you have your tissues at the ready - it's a bit of a tearjerker.
