This movie was so-so. It had it's moments, but wasn't the greatest.

The film may be flawed, but its message is not.

This is what happens when SJW writers and producers fail to recognize what they're seeing is their own reflection on the inside of their bubble. Instead of allowing the movie to be kids having fun for the sake of fun they had to project leftist political agenda into it. I actually looked to see if the DNC were listed in the credits along with teachers unions, NOW and Antifa. The message is clear fathers are deadbeats, mothers are saints, testing is bad, discipline destroys creativity, hispanics are heroes, vandalism is art and men are cretins. This movie is a prime example of SJWs taking something with great potential and ruining it by turning it into preachy virtue signalling bigotry. No wonder I never heard of it until I saw it on cable. I hope they lose a ton of money on it like everything else SJWs ruin.

This movie is basically a rip-off of two previous projects. One is Kirby Buckets. The main character, like Kirby, is a gifted cartoonist, and just like Kirby, he imagines his drawing coming to life and participating in the drama. Another is 100 Things to Do Before High School starring the breathtakingly beautiful and talented Isabela Moner. Sadly, this movie isn't nearly as good as either Kirby Buckets or 100 Things. Kirby had a great cast with Eli and Fish as buds, the evil sister Dawn and a whacked out school principal which set the stage for some great comedy. In this movie, the main character is a loner with only one imaginary friend. The plot is a troubled boy as the new kid in a middle school with an overbearing principal. He gets in trouble and fights back and uses his vivid imagination to pull some pranks that every middle school kid can only dream about. It lacks depth as it's just one boy against the principal. There are no buddies. Some of the pranks are interesting. The breathtakingly lovely Isabela Moner has a small part. But other than that, you'd be better off just watching reruns of Kirby Buckets.

Liked the story line and the imagination plot. Was a decent effort, could have been better if the actors gelled into the script. I felt there was a minor gap between the story and a group of talented actors. Alexa Nisenson was exceptional though. Positives: Story-line, Animation, Georgia, Principal Negatives: Predictable towards the end.Rating it 7 as I liked the story-line.

I don't know why such a movie is having such a low rating i see it should be above 7/10 rating. This movie is one of the most creative movies where they beautifully mixing animation with reality also it's discussing some of the real problems with education system.I have read the novel and i may say that this movie is even better than the novel and most of the actors were well casted they didn't make the plot in it very good though obviously for the fans of the novel this movie may have been made way better than that but it's still pretty good.If you are wandering you should watch this movie or not you absolutely should watch it if you are looking for something light and enjoyable also for the sake of the creativity this movie is made with absolutely recommended.
