... View MoreKung Fury is what you get when you take 80's action movie cheese and mix with a healthy dose of satire and every 80's movie cliche you can imagine. The result is just pure awesomeness. The original movie was only supposed to be about 10-20 minutes but when they put it on Kickstarter suddenly the money came rolling in and they just kept adding to it and adding to it until it topped out at 40 minutes. The story itself is... every 80's movie ever made. You've got the buddy cop story. You've got the cool 80's hacker. You've got a revenge motive. You've got martial arts. And you have David Hasselhoff. And there's also time travel, laser raptors, Viking babes, Thor and the most evil martial artist of all time Adolf Hitler a.k.a. Kung Fuhrer. It's ridiculous. It's silly. And it's altogether awesome. Do yourself a favor and check it out on Youtube.
... View MoreA regular plot summary on Kung Fury is about impossible. Kung Fury is so over-the-top, so random, and so completely insane that my head might explode if I tried to summarize the thing. Suffice it to say that a modern day cop named Kung Fury, who has was given extraordinary fighting abilities when he was hit by lightning while simultaneously being bitten by a cobra, travels back in time to stop Adolph Hitler before he can time travel to the future. Kung Fury is aided by Thor, two Amazon-type warriors, a super-hacker, and a triceratops who happens to be a cop. Or something like that.I loved this short. Kung Fury mixes together everything that made 80s action movies so awesome into one mind-blowing experience. I could sit here and name about a dozen movies that Kung Fury uses for inspiration. It's all over the place. Somehow, director David Sandberg makes it all work and does so at break-neck speed. There's so much going on that the 30 minute runtime literally flies by. Just freakin' amazing. I don't take the ratings I give lightly. If I give something a 9, that means I was completely blown away. My ratings are based primarily on entertainment value and Kung Fury entertained the pants off me!

... View MoreThis is the greatest film I've ever seen. Even tops Sharknado! It's like the writer spied on my dreams. If you are a gen x-er, you'll get even more out of it with the 80's references. Watch it today! I only wish they had made this into a full-length feature film, so we could explore the back stories of Tricera-Cop, Barbariosa and Hacker-man. My only complaint is there is a lot of cussing, so don't watch it around the kiddies, but much of the language adds to the raw-attitude and over-the-top stunts. Most important is do not miss the opening sequence. When I watch feature films, I usually spend the first 5 minutes in the kitchen getting snacks. This is action packed from the beginning. Some of the best stunts, which will have you standing up to cheer are int eh first 30 seconds!
