It's an amazing and heartbreaking story.
... View MoreThe plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one
... View MoreIt’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.
... View MoreThere are moments that feel comical, some horrific, and some downright inspiring but the tonal shifts hardly matter as the end results come to a film that's perfect for this time.
... View Morei've always felt that music was the best way to proselytize the Christian Bible. rather than seeming scary or intimidating(it sometimes is) music gives it a softer touch and gives it the feel of 'the good book' concept we are taught in Sunday school. you catch more flies with honey...or something like that.that's pretty much what this film is. Sunday school for children. adults can enjoy it's youthful exuberance too, but there is absolutely nothing racy or edgy about it in anyway.one reviewer here, who liked the show, thought the costumes were too revealing for young people. nice she liked the show but...ARE YOU CRAZY?!!! have you ever seen a Ballet? wake up!in Ballet theater the dancers wear tights and often what may seem revealing to anyone that has no culture. the outfits in 'Joseph' are not risqué in any way at all. anyone saying that has obviously never been to any real theater. the Bible does not say Christians should be poorly educated and repressed. i mean really, your lack of culture is showing with that one. this is wonderful wholesome entertainment and should be seen by families at Easter time. great film. GREAT COSTUMES.
... View MoreI have seen the musical/play live (not with Donny). I agree it is more fun to see live but there is no one who can play Joseph like Donny. He has the most glorious voice to sing these songs. He is no where near the teen idol he once was. Although he was very cute then and certainly has grown up to be one handsome man. Knowing his background with his beliefs and his wonderful family also helps to see him play this part. He has such a wonderful aura about him because he is a good kind-hearted person and morally upright. The story itself is a great one and the men playing the brothers are just wonderful as is the fella playing Pharaoh. It's a fun movie to watch and you might learn a lesson from it. "Close Any Door" brings tears to me every time. I have heard at least three other men sing it and not one is even near Donny's deliverance and emotion. Please give it a try.
... View MoreI got this movie for Christmas, and was amazed at how good it was. I had asked for it because I'd heard of the show, but never seen it or listened to the songs. My whole family loved it! Donny Osmond did a great job playing Joseph, and the Narrator was great, you can tell she was loving the whole show. The songs were superb, I loved the children singing backup! The dancing was amazing as well, the song One More Angel in Heaven was hilarious, and the dancing was incredible! The only thing that I did not approve of was that after Joseph went to Egypt, many of the costumes were very reveling. Not recommended for very young viewers.
