Jack and Jill Trailers

Jack Sadelstein, a successful advertising executive in Los Angeles with a beautiful wife and kids, dreads one event each year: the Thanksgiving visit of his twin sister Jill. Jill's neediness and passive-aggressiveness is maddening to Jack, turning his normally tranquil life upside down.

Pain is the first thing that comes to mind when considering "Jack and Jill". Your eyes hurt as you see actors such as Adam Sandler and Al Pacino, who have been great in the past, practically sleepwalk for their paycheck. Your ears hurt, as Sandler's shrill female voice is rumored to cause temporary (and, in some cases, permanent) hearing loss. Your face hurts, as you weep for the time lost by you and any other poor fool who has innocently stumbled upon this...thing (one hesitates to call it a film, as that would be too much credit). And finally, your brain hurts, as you try to puzzle out why this was written, why it was financed, why actors chose to be in it, why theaters chose to distribute it, and why people chose to see it.Sandler, I beg of you. I know you're smarter than this. So why, oh why, can't you act like it? "Punch-Drunk Love" is one of my favorite films. "Happy Gilmore" is pretty funny. I look forward to seeing you in "The Meyerowitz Stories", as I've heard only positive responses to your performance. So pull it together, Adam. If not for your fans, then for yourself. Others might not think so, but you deserve better than the crap you've banished yourself to.And Pacino. Ah, Pacino. How I remember you in "Dog Day Afternoon", one of the finest films of the '70s. How young you were, how passionate, how energetic, how full of life. You've worked with the best-Coppola, Lumet, De Palma. So your recent performances are almost as painful as De Niro's ("Taxi Driver" review hopefully coming soon, folks). I sincerely wish you the best, and I hope "The Irishman" will be a return to form, for you and De Niro.Ultimately, however, all we, the viewers, can do, is sit back and look at what is laid before us and whisper...the horror...the horror...the horror.

Well, when I watched Jack and Jill the first time.. it was strange to me and it was cringe worthy but then I found my self laugh at some parts and can't believe that Adam Sandler would make of it a real comedy movie.. it is absolutely a real silly comedy movie just wrapped so it holds a meaning at the end.It hold exaggerated variety of characters that you "may" laugh at their actions, you will see big and well known names act in this movie in weird parts but still I didn't fell I wasted my time. This movie just to be rented for a laugh at silly things happen! .. there are so many parody movies that they are supposed to be funny but they could not pull a smile from me more than this one (which is not basically a parody movie!).

This movie is disrespectful of the viewer and is nothing more than one long commercial. I know, that sounds like an exaggeration. Unfortunately it's actually an understatement. Right from the first scene he's promoting Pepto Bismol (!!) and Diet Coke. Next scene American Airlines. And so on....for the ENTIRE MOVIE. Oh yeah, he's an "ad executive," which gives them convenient opportunities to show actual full length commercials. This includes a massive commercial for Dunkin Donuts that is even longer than a normal commercial you would see on TV. They even incorporate Dunkin Donuts into the main plot. So, somehow this....movie....has a budget of $79,000,000. This is a huge budget, and many fantastic movies have been made on similar or lower budgets. Yet this movie looks like it was made on a budget of under $1,000,000. There are indie films made for WELL under a million that look much better. WHERE DID THE MONEY GO? Oh, that's right, it went to paying Adam Sandler. This entire thing was a cash grab.Adam Sandler is playing audiences for a fool.
