This is How Movies Should Be Made
... View MoreHighly Overrated But Still Good
... View MoreExcellent characters with emotional depth. My wife, daughter and granddaughter all enjoyed it...and me, too! Very good movie! You won't be disappointed.
... View MoreA film of deceptively outspoken contemporary relevance, this is cinema at its most alert, alarming and alive.
... View MoreThe story starts out rather cleverly on Easter morning. It contrasts roommates, Hank and Mike on how they spend the night of their biggest day in their career. Mike is fast asleep in bed while Hank smokes cigarettes, drinks beer and abuses himself to a scrambled porno movie. Clearly they are the "odd couple." As fate would have it, they miss the last house on their route (they do a lot of breaking and entering). Since the company has opted to downsize, they find themselves out of a job. Now Easter Bunnies in the workforce is a funny thing. They work for UPS, but hide the packages. They work for a school and serve the kids chocolate. Unfortunately their work failures due to being an Easter Bunny is in the form of a montage and not really exploited to its comic potential. After Hank pawns Mike's Golden Egg award, the movie becomes dark as each one must now deal with their failure resorting to drink and drugs. The bunny aspect no longer plays a role as they become any two losers and the movie becomes boring. It remains boring up until the very end when they devise a plan to get their jobs back. Nudity, language, simulated sex (mostly in the first half). Decent soundtrack.
... View MoreI tried to watch this on TV today. Based on some user comments, I was expecting to laugh. Big mistake. I watched the first 20 minutes of this movie without even a smile.. nothing is funny in it. You see the 2 guys in bunny suits on the movie cover? Well, they never take those suits off. Being an Easter bunny it's supposed to be their job, but the movie makes them some sort of human-in-pink-bunny-suit hybrid. So, how are the jokes with 2 bunny-guys? They shower in their suits, the use deodorant on top of the suits, they have a special bunny-room at work, and they seem to have sexual relationship with normal (non-bunny) women. I don't know how could anyone find this funny.I'll go spoil some more 'jokes'. The company they work for advertises 'sponsored suicide'. One kid doesn't get her Easter candy, and this is all over the news - swap channels on TV, it's all about how the kid didn't get her sweets. Oh how funny. NOT! Obviously, the 2 stars of this movie missed the kid's house. And they get fired. Oh my God they fired some Easter bunnies. This was also supposed to be funny. Soon after this scene I remembered I was supposed to watch a 'comedy' and have some laughs. So I turned off the TV. This movie wasn't worth the 30 minutes I wasted on it. The reason I decided to write a review (I rarely do this): I was tricked in watching this movie by user comments in IMDb and it's grade of 5.8. I thought, a comedy with 5.8 can't be that bad. So I'm here to rate this movie what it's worth.
... View MoreI'd say this movie was worth watching thanks to the humor and whole concept of it all. I just like how confused at first I was what with guys in bunny costumes, but when I realized they WERE the easter bunnies it put a whole different perspective on the way this film was approached. It was meant to be a comedy. I thought the guys did a great job with their roles and in the suits they were wearing. Me & my roommate especially love the scene when the self-centered business guy is singing at the bar. Its great! Though, that scene does not actually add much to the story/plot it is incredibly entertaining. There may be some holes in the overall story including the whole easter bunny middle aged men scenario that isn't ever explained. I think it adds character to the flick, leaves room for interpretation & conversation. As a whole I like this movie a lot, and would definitely recommend anyone who likes kinda slow but comedic dialogue. I enjoyed it, hope you do too.
... View MoreI just don't get this film. I did not find this film hilarious. It had a couple of funny moments but nothing that would entice me to watch this film again.I watched this film based on the comments that other IMDb members left and felt disappointed enough to leave this review. The storyline just drags by slowly. I did not understand why Chris Klein's character was in the Karoke bar drunk and singing at the same time as one of the unemployed rabbits. It just lacked continuity with the role that was established earlier in the film and it wasn't all that funny. The script definitely needed more work to achieve any real humour but then again maybe I'm not the type to find two adults dressed up in bunny suits comedic enough.I would give this film a pass, unless you don't mind wasting a hour and half of your time. Peace.
