Wow! What a bizarre film! Unfortunately the few funny moments there were were quite overshadowed by it's completely weird and random vibe throughout.

The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one

A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.

Let me start with, what many others have started with... I'm a huge Bruce Campbell fan. But where I differ from the others I understand and can distinguish the difference between Bruce Campbell and the Evil Dead trilogy. If you are a Campbell and Raimi fan and have any knowledge of their background you will know they love slapstick comedy like The Stooges. To me, this film is near perfection and I'd much rather see films like this than the rinse and repeat Hollywood is churning out like Harry Potter and Superhero films. This film really has a lot of heart and when people say it's bad acting and low budget, yes it's been made on a low budget but no, the acting is no bad, it's just acted in a very particular style. If you enjoy comedy and are a Bruce Campbell fan, this film is for you.

Well, I will be blunt and direct. What kept this movie afloat was the presence of Bruce Campbell. The story of the movie was quite bad, and so very, very cheesy. Although there were some moments that were quite funny, but the story and plot was bad.The acting was adequate, and Bruce Campbell was a very dominant figure in the movie. It was physically painful to watch Ted Raimi goof around in this movie. But in general, the rest of the cast did an okay job with their roles. Now, I know that Bruce Campbell is a cult in himself, but this movie didn't really work for me. It was just too goofy and cheesy. I was sort of disappointed with this movie. Sure, I made it through the entire movie, only because of Bruce Campbell. If you are a HUGE Campbell fan, then you'll love this, of that I am quite sure.

I don't have many expectations of a B movie, but this one took what seemed like forever to set up.William Cole (Bruce Campbell) is the Ugly American businessman with the unfaithful wife Jackie (Antoinette Byron) on a trip behind the Iron Curtain. He runs into a cab driver Yegor (Vladimir Kolev) with a jealous gypsy girlfriend Tatoya (Tamara Gorski) who kills all three.Enter mad scientist Dr. Ivanov (Stacy Keach), and his assistant Pavel (Ted Raimi), who replace the damaged part of Cole's brain with Yegor's. Now we have a competition between an uber Capitalist and a Communist playing out in his body.If that isn't far-fetched enough, they put Jackie's brain in a robot. This movie just kept getting crazier and crazier. Funny at times, but crazy.

Ah, classic comedy. At the point in the movie where brains get messed together, a two minute scene with Bruce Campbell beating himself up partially, reminds me of how simplistic movies and ideas can grab you and wrap you into a whole movie. For years and years, Bruce Campbell knows what kind of movies we want out of him. We want to see weird movies like Bubba Ho Tep. We want to see cameo roles in Sam Raimi movies, and we want to see 'Man with the Screaming Brain'. With the title alone, one knows that it's going to border that completely silly type of movie, like Army of Darkness, only with more silly and less monsters. The idea of the movie is simple. Bruce sees doctor. Doctor has new idea. Bruce gets bad things happen to him on way to see doctor. Coincidentally, it's the thing the doctor wanted to show him that saves him. Hilarity ensues. With the addition of Ted Raimi as a weird Russian guy, and journeyman Stacy Keach as Dr. Ivan Ivanovich Ivanov, it's funny, that does this movie. Complete funny. Never a point of scary. If you like the silly Bruce Campbell, you'll like this. Then again, why would you be watching this if you didn't like Bruce Campbell?
