Foolproof Trailers

Kevin, Sam and Rob have an unusual hobby: planning foolproof heists, without intending to actually perform them. The game goes wrong when their latest plan is stolen and carried out. Things get even worse when a mysterious man approaches them with an offer: plan a heist for him, or go to jail. As the clock ticks, they find that the risk might be higher than just their freedom.

Admirable film.

The film creates a perfect balance between action and depth of basic needs, in the midst of an infertile atmosphere.

The storyline feels a little thin and moth-eaten in parts but this sequel is plenty of fun.

No spoilers here. If you're in the mood for a low budget, lower-concept amateur version of oceans 11... this is your movie.Almost beat for beat, this movie is like a lower-class version of Oceans 11.Also, some of the music is identical to Oceans 11.Story... okay. Acting... okay. Direction... okay. Production... okay. Okay entertainment, nothing more, nothing less.

Foolproof is your typical heist film but with a nice "beginners" element. You have a basic blackmail to get the show rolling, but the different twists the scenario brings in can keep you guessing until the end.The acting is not stellar, but good enough not to distract you. There's also a caricatural feeling to it that's dosed just enough to keep the whole thing simmering with fun.The only real big drag, is the thing with the lasers... It seems that they all have to do it, and every time it's a question of contortion, as if alarm systems were that dumb. It's entertaining, it's intelligent, it's worth seeing even if it's not a master piece. It's an easy pick.

This movie is actually pretty good, only the pace is a bit uneven. At the beginning there is stretch that is a bit boring, until the action begins. If it is ever re-released in DVD I would suggest some editing to delete unnecessary scenes at the beginning of the movie. The three protagonists are very good, particularly Kristin Booth. Leo and the guardian of his jewels are not very believable as bad guys, they are just OK. Obviosly, Hollywood created some bad expectations here... ;) The plot is quite interesting and the end of the movie is positively surprising. Too bad I haven't heard of this movie until I found it by chance at the city library.

The presence of usually dependable Ryan Reynolds might suck you into renting, or worse buying, "Foolproof". Unfortunately after watching it, the only conclusion one can draw is that Ryan Reynolds didn't read the script. He is totally out of his element here as a wannabe hi-tech thief. There is zero character development, an unbelievable premise, and everything, and I mean everything, about "Foolproof" is unbearably contrived. In addition there are other annoyances, including an abrasive soundtrack, and headache inducing split screens. I have seen cartoons that had more substance. Unbelievably contrived nonsense.....BEWARE... - MERK
