It is neither dumb nor smart enough to be fun, and spends way too much time with its boring human characters.

Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable

Stated on the DVD sleeve and I agree for once, in the style of Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer. The one thing you can forget is Rutger Hauer. His name is only used as a teaser, he's maybe 10 minutes into the whole movie. Nut nonetheless, it's worth watching. Maybe made years too late to be a hit because it really is in the style mentioned before what will say, bloody. To say that it is an ode to the 80's slashers I disagree. No first person views, no nudity. That may be the reason why over here you pay 1 euro for a new DVD copy or 5 for the Blu Ray. It just don't fit in the horror scene of today but don't misunderstood me, it is worth watching and it never bored me. The title doesn't attract you either, wrong choice there, luckily for the US version they changed it into Dead Tone. Anyhow, easy to find, you will gave a nice evening, if you don't get a phone call, watching it...

Put a bunch of typical (read : annoying) teenagers partying in a huge mansion, feed them with alcohol and sex and let an axe murderer ruin the party. That's pretty much the idea.Although there are some huge plot holes and the characters are too unlikable too care for, this didn't ruin the entertainment value for me. The atmosphere and style of this film is very reminiscent of "All the boys love Mandy Lane" as well as the old fashioned '80s slasher films. If this is what you're looking for, you're probably gonna enjoy this film. However, don't expect it to be anything more than that. It sure as h*** ain't no Shakespeare (to stick with the ghetto language of some of this film's characters).

OK for starters so this movie could be considered a scream Ripoff But... I thought it was kind of clever how then invented the whole 75 second concept. The acting was okay.. The action was quite good for your standard Slasher film & it seems like they used a reasonable budget on it compared to many slasher films as this is normally a really low budget film area. Many slashers are done for well under $100,000(US) I would guess by watching this movie it might have cost maybe $5 mil to make. & I thought the ending was OK But I wont tell you anything about the ending in case you watch itI think its worth a 6 1/2 But if you want to pick holes in it for being a scream ripoff maybe it is a 4.5 But its not a bad movie anyway

I enjoyed this movie as it was every bit as good as any other Horror/Slash movie flick that we have seen. You don't want to have to think and analyze when you are watching, you just want it to flow. I thought the cast did a great job with what they had to work with. The script was poorly written, leaving plots hanging for us to try to figure out. They gave us a lot of blood and gore which makes this kind of movie met its audience's demands. I personally enjoyed the ending, but wished that they hadn't killed off Katrina, as they could of done a sequel. I guess they could say she was stabbed, but didn't die. I liked her, the killer and of course Ratguer Hauer, the detective the best.
