To be honest, I'm not sure I finished watching this film at home. Was so excited about the remake at first, but the movie gutted everything I'd loved as a child about the movie, which was the first class ham and cheese served up by some of the world's most beloved actors, including the wonderful Burgesss Meredith. I think the owl was my favorite character ever, but I just found out he wasn't in this movie very much because Sam Worthington tried to get him cut out of the film. I can't tell you how disappointed that my favorite childhood film was remade this way. Seeing it as a four year old in a drive-in theater was larger than life!

I'm surprised these talented actors even agreed to do a remake like this. What were they thinking when they read the script?I only stayed for the beautiful Gemma Atherton and intrigued to see how the producers were going to end the movie.Safe to say, I was not disappointed. Because it's exactly how I imagined it to be - dreadful.

When it comes to movies for me its always small details that either win me over or make me dislike a movie. This movie is not that interesting and kind of forgettable, but I remember a few details that made me really dislike the movie because it made no sense. The king has no soldiers left to he sends the old and the young on this dangerous mission. But when the city is about to be destroyed you see the king running around with a few soldiers that looks awesome and not old or young, but like regular soldiers. Why did these not go with the others on the mission? Seems like they could have done a lot to help it. But maybe they where not that great because they did not protect the king from getting stabbed. For that matter it is known that the city will be destroyed if not the mission is completed and that the mission will possible, if not probably fail. Why has no one in the city left it? Everyone seems surprised and unprepared when it starts to fall. These where a few details which I really disliked.

This movie was not that bad at all. The story was great, but it was not satisfying in relation to the Kraken. It was hyped up to be the destroyer of all destroyers, and the one that could defeat the Gods. But shortly after it was summoned, it was defeated.Despite the two minute Kraken, there were some creatures that were pretty awesome. Medusa was intense with her death stare. The giant scorpions were ferocious with their attack.Zeus, played by Liam Neeson, wore an outfit that was hard on the eyes. It was way too bright. There should have been more of Zeus throughout the movie.
