Star Wars: The Clone Wars Trailers

As the Clone Wars sweep through the galaxy, the heroic Jedi Knights struggle to maintain order and restore peace. More and more systems are falling prey to the forces of the dark side as the Galactic Republic slips further and further under the sway of the Separatists and their never-ending droid army. Anakin Skywalker and his Padawan learner Ahsoka Tano find themselves on a mission with far-reaching consequences, one that brings them face-to-face with crime lord Jabba the Hutt. But Count Dooku and his sinister agents, including the nefarious Asajj Ventress, will stop at nothing to ensure that Anakin and Ahsoka fail at their quest. Meanwhile, on the front lines of the Clone Wars, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Master Yoda lead the massive clone army in a valiant effort to resist the forces of the dark side...

This is not a Star Wars movie, so it's hard to understand why they tried to label it as one. It takes place in the Star Wars galaxy with characters from the Star Wars movies, but if anything it's a TV-special. It's obviously targeting a much younger crowd than the movies, but I feel you can do this without dumbing down the story to such a degree as this movie does.I don't mind the look of the show/movie, the characters are recognizable, and the style is true to itself. It seems like they tried to use computer animation that would not age too bad - choosing a rubber/plastic look over something more organic. This works best for the robots and the alien characters - the humans ends up feeling more like dolls. The voice actors (some of which are the original actors from the movie!) do an okay job with what they are given, but the lifeless characters are not able to convey the emotions of what is being said. But that's not even the movie's main problem. The movie's problem is that it is very obviously pieced together episodes from a TV-show. The seams are almost showing! Releasing something like this as a "home media" compilation - like they often do with cartoon shows - would make sense. But as a feature length theatrical movie under the Star Wars banner?! Madness.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars to be honest with you feels like it could have been better off as a direct to video release. How this film got a theater release is a mystery. The film took me four tries to watch and after finishing the film finally I can take the time to review the film.I try to keep in mind that this film was gear to a younger crowd it also serve as the pilot to the TV show that would come later. Interesting enough I could be wrong but they took the first episodes written for the series and fuse them together to make this movie. The results are a mix while it does introduce to the characters we know before and new characters.Animation wise for this film does interesting work not bad design for the character models and the effects of the film work for the series to come.Voice acting is a work ranging from good to huh? But there are some pretty funny wise cracks that got me to laugh so there is something for the adults. There is some nice music as well. Also the film does film like a hour and 30 minute TV pilot while I give them points for putting it together they could have made it a Direct to Video or Made for TV movie it just not one strong enough for theatersWhile Star Wars fans will enjoy it and it will work for the younger fans it just the results were not strong with the force as it could have been it's not a bad movie but just could have been moreI give Star Wars: The Clone Wars an 6 out of 10

This is a CG cartoon movie related to the series that spans between episodes II and III.For what I've seen, it's quite enough good to be part of the star wars universe. First of all, yes, it is Intended to be a cartoon movie, but that doesn't mean you don't get a high count of kills and action as in a normal star wars movie. Even though there are some negative points, such as the absence of a Williams score, a few small plot leaks and few slightly, really slightly childish moments, it quite does entertain enough and starts the expansion of the star wars storyline we had in the TV series.
