The film makes a home in your brain and the only cure is to see it again.

While it is a pity that the story wasn't told with more visual finesse, this is trivial compared to our real-world problems. It takes a good movie to put that into perspective.

Story: It's very simple but honestly that is fine.

I saw this on a rented DVD in 2008. I picked up the DVD without watchin the trailer or reading much bah it. The film was extremely gruesome. The violence was realistic and graphic. Considering the budget, it is one of the best "special effects" I have ever seen, when it comes to violence. Nice work done by Franklin Guerrero Jr considering this is his 2nd film. Yet to see his debut film 8th plague. Definitely hyped to see his future work. Its a low-budget, independent effort and it looks incredible. The death scenes were very creative and has buckets of gore that keeps flowing. This independent horror flick is surprisingly well-made and acted. The story itself is not original but awesome effort. The movie also has a fantastic soundtrack, decent acting n cinematography, nice direction n shoddy camera work n editing. The villain is scary, but only when wearing his goggles. The kills that are shown in this movie are different than a lot of other films. As someone rightly said, "This movie is beautifully sick". Watch out for the outhouse scene man. The teeth breaking scene from American history X n the outhouse scene in this movie r the only scenes which made me feel discomfort. I try to avoid movies which potray harm towards kids. Don't worry, this flick doesn't hav one.

This was the most awful movie, i promise you. Me a& my cuzzo were watching this one time laaaate at night and right when we saw how it was filmed we started cracking up. LOW BUDGET LOW BUDGET LOW BUDGET daz all i gotta say lmao. The lead killer looks like a damn BLOW FISH hahahah. And it was just crazy in need of some $$$ if you know what i mean. I mean no disrespect to the campers that went missing though. Anyways thats just my opinion. If your looking for horror, this isn't the movie to watch. If your looking for comedy, this just might be the movie for you LOL. CIAO

Before I bought this DVD, i read that it was based on a true story, so i didn't know what to expect, until i watched. I can easily watch horror films, but this one made me flinch. It is centered on a group of friends Matt Carmody, Kristyn Green, Ursula Taherian, Natasha Malinsky, Neil Kubath and a few others, who take a detour and come across a family of deranged killers, who specializes in making snuff films. As the teens are hunted down one by one, they fight to find a way off the mountain so that they become a part of history. This movie was very gritty, gruesome and unbelievable. I only recommend this flick to those who are hardcore horror fans and can stomach every minute of this outrageous horror flick.

i guess we all have to start somewhere, this is one of those movies that one day will be remade maybe by the same guy and what he has learned will make him a better director/ producer.as stated the actors needed more depth, i did learn the words to turkey in the straw so not a total loss. the inn keeper or what ever that PLace was has a good southern accent most likely real, he may have been the bright spot. overall the movie was a bit too dark to see , i wanted to turn on all the lights in my house. gore was too dark to give the heave ho feeling, but again there actors did their best, script wise it was at least 2 rewrites from where it could be a much better movie and that is the problem now that i think of it.. the script was jumbled never flowed, so watch it learn from it , it was an indie i think but i have seen some kick butt indie movies ...clerk, a dogs breakfast, so i know it can be done..but someone told me horror films were the hardest to make and this proves it
