'All Hallows' Eve' has been on my watchlist for a few years now, but it wasn't until seeing 'Terrifier' recently that I knew I had to go back and watch it. It was pretty apparent that the character of 'Art the Clown' is something very special and I will lap up every bit of him that I can find. I would call 'All Hallows' Eve' a bit of an appetiser for the main event that was still to come. The film is broken up into three segments, with a central segment tying them all together. I didn't realise until after seeing the film that the segments were actually the short films writer/director Damien Leone had made a few years prior. The first segment is okay without being anything really special. 'Art the Clown' isn't really a huge feature in this one and while some of the other characters were certainly well designed, they definitely didn't pull off the same level of malice. The second segment is easily the weakest element to the film. It really drags everything down for a good half an hour there and was quite disappointing. 'Art the Clown' makes an appearance of sorts in this segment but it's hardly worth mentioning. The third segment though is where the film truly comes into its own. This was the original 'Terrifier' short film from 2011 and it is nothing short of brilliant. Genuine horror is so hard to find these days but this is certainly it.The segment that ties everything together is mildly well done. It serves its purpose and provides a way for the film to go out on a high. As I said though things weren't quite polished yet. There's some pretty terrible acting at times (especially the phone calls) and the second segment really drags it down. If the film doesn't sound like you, but you'd like to see the third segment I spoke of you could simply try and track down the short film 'Terrifier' from 2011. And if you haven't already please see the 2017 feature length version of 'Terrifier'. It truly is a horror masterpiece. I give 'All Hallows' Eve' a 6/10.

I put this on expecting a low budget laugh. I actually said to my husband "I fancy something not too serious". Well I laughed a little and although its not 'too serious' its certainly not light-hearted.It starts like a typical horror film. Cue an annoying young boy and some shocking acting from the fist video clip. You find yourself sucked in but not sure why. The second video clip (which generally has been received badly) is entertaining but when the third video clip starts..sh*t gets real. Its terrifying. The clown is horrific. The final ending is unexpected. This film left me scared to walk around the house for the rest of the night. It left me feeling incredibly uneasy. But your left wanting more.It has its flaws and has lots of frustrating victim moments where your screaming at the screen for them to do the sensible thing. All Hallows Eve is a must see for fans of horror. Just go for clown if anything.

Why all the bad reviews? For me it does all it sets out to be. A low budget horror film of short stories linked well together. Very much in the style of the hammer horror short story movies of the 70s. Its shot like an 80's video nasty which makes it look effective. Yes its gory but nothing not seen many times before. The clown is a very good monster and quite creepy. Acting is fine. Shot well without looking like a hand shot movie that are all the rage. So in summary an effective horror film. Creepy bad clown. Gore. Copies a lot of ideas from Hammer films and the series but to me that's not a bad thing. Its 80's look adds to the creepiness because i use to watch the old 80s horror films back in the 80s. The link up part of the film is very good especially the ending. Parts one and two are OK buts its story three that raps it up nice.

This is one of the worst horror movie i've seen. The trailer looked good so i said let's check out this movie.Worst mistake in my life. The clown looked pretty scary but what i saw after,i was disappointed. What was with the stories?Completely unrelated. All that fake effects and fake blood made me sick.Amateurs could have done a better job, definitely. The ending was disappointing, too.I have never seen anything more fake. The actors were pretty bad, too.Sorry, but i hated this movie. The alien scene was also bad,i did not understand it,like the rest of the movie.According to me,this movie should not be horror at all, because it did not scare me at all.
