Self-important, over-dramatic, uninspired.

A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.

This low budget shocker starts off poorly but improves as the film goes on. Two kids and a babysitter put on an old VHS tape they find but things aren't quite as they seem. There are 3 stories interwoven ( four if you include the babysitter and the kids). The first segment is pretty disappointing but they improve as the film goes on although they do get slightly confusing at times. Not many people like clowns these days and with creations like Art the clown it's easy to see why. A truly disturbing character. I can't say I really enjoyed this film but it does it's job as it is very creepy and for a horror film the ending is actually quite good. If you're looking for a scary film to watch this is worth a look.

This has to be one of the worst horror movies I have seen and I am generally not a hard to please movie watcher. From about 20 minutes in I kept checking how long the movie had left because I couldn't wait for it to be over! The only reason I kept watching was reading reviews on here that said it did get better as it went on... it really didn't. The acting was awful, really really cheesy! Now I've read on here lots that it was a budget movie but I'm sorry I can't say "oh yeah it was good" simply because it was budget - some ideas in it were great, the watching a movie then you're in that movie was a clever concept and the third "in" movie had good graphics with the girl at the end (although I'm not totally sure the c word needed to be carved into her body) but little details were totally forgotten - the girl in the third movie runs from the clown with her hair flowing... on the next scene it's in a bun then the next scene a loose pony tail... is the movie suggesting that the girl was so vein she needed to stop running from her attacker so she could remodel her do? If the bad guy isn't scary to her how will it be to the rest of us?! lol I realise that's a little pedantic but little things like that annoy me. I don't know who thought up of the alien thing but it was the best thing I had seen in a long time, I haven't laughed that much in ages! But scary... hmm no! I do love the way the producer thanked her mother in the titles though, was nice to see. Better luck next time.

I sat down to watch this movie, expecting the absolute worst, based on the 4.6 rating. What I found instead was actually a pretty decent movie, with a creepy atmosphere, an even creepier clown, and entertainment worth more than such a low rating.I admit, along with everyone else who liked it, that the acting was somewhat stiff and awkward at times and some scenes seemed to drag on way too long, but the fun cheesiness of the movie far outweighed a little bad acting. If you can enjoy a campy, low budget movie and/or are terrified of clowns, you shouldn't overlook this one. Just don't sit down with high expectations or you'll probably be disappointed.

Now being a fan of horror movies, a movie about a killer clown clearly caught my eye. I watched the trailer and thought the plot was pretty cool. The trailer showed a kid getting a video tape on Halloween that his babysitter won't allow him to watch. Then if you watch the tape, it's supposed to release this creepy looking clown to kill whoever watches it. I thought it seemed really entertaining so when I found it, my friend & I bought it. $13 wasted. The movie was complete trash. The acting, the quality, the editing, everything. It started off decent with the babysitting story, then the kids persuade the babysitter to actually watch the tape. The tape included three short films. The first one was about a woman in a subway station waiting for the train on Halloween then all of a sudden, the creepy clown appears and starts messing with her. He starts off nice, playing jokes and laughing with her. Then he starts getting weird and scary, and hands her a flower that causes her to pass out. She wakes up on the tracks tied up with a chain. She meet two other girls are there, freaking out, stating that they've been there for a long time. They try to escape causing one to die. Then this huge Hills Have Eyes looking guy comes and starts trying to hack these girls to death. He gets one and then the other wakes up tied to a table where she sees old, wrinkled up things terrorizing a pregnant woman. They rip out the baby and give it to (here's the kicker) Satan. It ends. The next short film is about a woman home alone in her new home while her husband is at work. She starts hearing weird noises and begins to freak out a little. The lights turn off and she begins to freak out even more. Then a bright light passes by her kitchen window and she tries to leave. But of course her car won't start. So she runs back into her home. Suddenly, something tries to get into her home and they finally do. Guess what it is. Not a clown. Not Satan. ALIENS. Yes, aliens. The final one finally included the clown. He was evil. He killed random people. I'm just getting tired of talking about this movie because it's so horrible. I'm sorry to anyone who has every watched this. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. 0/10.
