How do I start this? Well for years since 2003 we've been fighting against the craziest odds to get this gem of a series released "Officially!" The time is here we have Witchblade the series in its entirety! Can this be considered a "spoiler" Hmmmm? I shell mark it as so. The DVD looks Out-Standing, then they go and do the unforgivable.... Sigh, sorry I needed a moment, They OK "Spoiler Alart," at least I think so! They Changed the Sound Track!!! Normally I would overlook such things but for Witchblade this is Big! This show lives and breaths "Drama!" Songs like "Green eyed Lady," and Peter Gabriel's " Solsbury Hill," and the've replaced it!! AAAAAaaaaaaaaa!!!!!! The Original music Its life blood pumping pulsing life's soul into every passionate moment of the series and they've changed it for some home made muck!!! This feels like someone made a deal with the devil to get it released, and he made it all pretty, clear, and crisp. Only like all deals with him he stole its "Soul!"

Witchblade 2001, Season 1 and Season 2: One of the most intelligent and intriguing TV series I had the pleasure of viewing in years. The acting was fantastic. The Actors: Eric Etebari, Anthony Cistaro, Yancy Butler, Will Lee, Lazar, David Chokochi and John Hensley were a pleasure to watch. Professional and believable in their roles. It was a unique, well written, intelligent, and suspenseful and it was a completely different type of cop show rather than the same old tired cookie cutter shows still on the air.The music was well thought out and exciting. Overall the entire show from the writers to the filming and directing, to the unique style of all of the actor's was fantastic. No episode was dull or boring and the actors brought their characters to life. Why it was canceled is a mystery. Why it hasn't been made into a TV series DVD set for purchase yet is also a mystery.

The actors and actresses were fantastic. Hemmecker and Oakie wrote some fascinating episodes... Comic book lover since the series and can't wait for the Movies!!!Sara Pezzini wields the Witchblade and is the balancer just like the picture of Justice with her scales. The series symbolism was ahead of its time. It does have a matrix kinda feel...but more realistic. Some of my favorite episodes dealt with Ian Nottingham and his dilemma. Love and protect Sara or break his loyalty to his master Kenneth IronsKenneth Irons the intriguing puppet master who also loves Sara but he loves the Witchblade more...The series was ahead of its time...

Here is the IMDb summary of the television show "Witchblade":--Based on the comic with the same title, this series follows the adventures of police detective Sara Pezini, the bearer of the Witchblade. The Witchblade is a powerful gauntlet-like weapon with a will of its own. Existing since the dawn of time, it chooses each time the right person to be merged with, and Sara is the chosen one of this generation.--Now, if that plot summary sounds rather ridiculous to you, don't be misled - it is ridiculous. Shamefully ridiculous. The film (which was pretty awful as well) at least had a few merits and was reasonably entertaining i a so-bad-it's-good kind of way...but the TV show is simply stale, stupid and totally unnecessary. It did so poorly that it was canceled during its second season after star Yancy Bates successfully recovered from alcoholism. That's a nice way to end your recovery - "Hey, congratulations! Oh, by the way, we've canceled your show and your contract with us. Hope you stay on the wagon!" The television show is filmed in that blue-filtered "Matrix"/"X-Men"/cop show style so that everything looks really hip and sexy and yet realistic. It fails because the show is so utterly absurd. It's hard to take it seriously at all.I know from reading the IMDb message boards here that "Witchblade" - the film and the TV show - has a small cult fanbase. But so does the film "Supergirl" and that was just as bad.
