Although it has its amusing moments, in eneral the plot does not convince.

I gave this film a 9 out of 10, because it was exactly what I expected it to be.

Although I seem to have had higher expectations than I thought, the movie is super entertaining.

In this whole 12 episode series they do not fire a gun one single time, except there is a shot gun in the last episode. What a relief! Even though there are no guns, there are unscroupolous business people, human traffickers and tales about the difficulties of forgiving, about blaming the outsiders and about divorce. I liked the main character. He is a cop you can trust, one with integrity, and in the very end he still ends up lonely in the islandic village in the remote fjord where he once moved to get away from Reykjavik. He is my kind of hero.

Trapped is a very good show in every aspect. The story, the characters, the scenery everything is great. Hope there will be a second season.

I can hardly find words to describe this beautifully-crafted and astringent crime drama. The Icelandic backdrop is by turns vast and claustrophobic; the actors conveying few words but infinite emotion; the plot complex but believable.Ólafur Darri Ólafsson is a Andiri, the police chief, a dark planet, moving through the characters and narrative; a weighty, flawed, but compassionate human with a resolute moral core. Ilmur Kristjánsdóttir is his assistant and grows in depth and importance as the story unfolds.Think Twin Peaks crossed with Fargo. Best watched in bed with flannel pajamas!

Watch this show!!!! If you enjoyed The Killing, Broadchurch and The Bridge, you won't be disappointed. The subtitles of course take a bit to get used to. However the acting is so strong and plot twists so deep, that you'll suddenly feel like you speak Icelandic, as the show draws you in with all its dark moods and sophisticated writing. The dialogue is so simple and yet brilliantly realistic, that at no time does it get lost within the subtitles. As for the storyline and plot, well it's a binge watching show for sure, the police process is so well portrayed that you'll be constantly on the edge of your comfiest chair and shaking your head. I have no regrets about the tired days at work I've had after pushing past my bedtime thanks to "Trapped"
