    Redundant and unnecessary.

It's no definitive masterpiece but it's damn close.

Grew to love the characters so much that I await the next season. Looking on this site, I was hoping to find the future plans. Found how popular this show is with the Icelanders. This show gives viewers a fairly realistic view of life on the island country. I lived on Kodiak Island for nearly a half year, summer into early fall. This show reminded me of one week I spent in isolation with 13K other people.

Being a fan of Nordic noir I thought I would give this series a go and I'm glad I did. Trapped is every bit as good as anything Icelands Scandinavian neighbours have given us. Set in a small port on the Icelandic coast a spate of murders take place taking the local police force out of there comfort zone. Not that this stops the local head of police played by the excellent Olafa Olafson. With no help from the mainland due to the freezing weather he single handily attempts to track down the perpetrator. Trapped is well written, acted and beautifully shot so much so it's the first show that's so cold it makes me want to put a jumper on just watching it! Highly recommended 9/10

This is based on the first 5 episodes, as it is so boring and uninteresting I had to stop watching. As a follower of many northern Europe dramas, such as 'The Bridge', 'The Killing' or 'The legacy', I have approached 'Trapped' with high hopes, all the elements to be good were there: a mysterious and gruesome murder, the humble detective, a scary environment. Unfortunately good ingredients don't necessarily make a good dish if the cook is average, and this is the case. Watching this show in the first 5 episodes it was like a chore, you know when you start looking at the time to see how much is to the end. Pretty much nothing happens, people behave in a way that has no logic, acting is slow and boring. How this show can have a high score is beyond belief. Do not watch, there so many good Scandinavian shows around, but this is not one of them. My vote is 1.

Watch this show!!!! If you enjoyed The Killing, Broadchurch and The Bridge, you won't be disappointed. The subtitles of course take a bit to get used to. However the acting is so strong and plot twists so deep, that you'll suddenly feel like you speak Icelandic, as the show draws you in with all its dark moods and sophisticated writing. The dialogue is so simple and yet brilliantly realistic, that at no time does it get lost within the subtitles. As for the storyline and plot, well it's a binge watching show for sure, the police process is so well portrayed that you'll be constantly on the edge of your comfiest chair and shaking your head. I have no regrets about the tired days at work I've had after pushing past my bedtime thanks to "Trapped"
