Funny, strange, confrontational and subversive, this is one of the most interesting experiences you'll have at the cinema this year.

I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.

In light of the John K situation, I won't judge the show based on him or his incidents. Anyway, what can I say? Ren and Stimpy is a fun and creepy cartoon to watch. While it may not be for everyone, the whole show seem to follow the path that some future cartoons had done - grossout genre, and now there's a dozen storyboard driven cartoons as well. On its merit, the show's animation is one of the best aspects. It's so smooth that it managed to stay fluid throughout most of it run. Props mainly go to Carbunkle Cartoons and Rough Draft Studios for their work. Writing wise, during the first 3 seasons, it's nearly hit. Not too many lame moments and there's only a few misses. Afterwards, it still hits but there's moments that made you shake your head. As for characters, Ren is definitely my favorite character and I can relate to him at times. He's just constantly funny with his outbursts and stuff. Stimpy is a fun character as well and still had his moments, but he doesn't beat Ren. There's other good background characters but we don't see them that much. I like that the BGM basically uses Associated Production Music which is also best known for being used in SpongeBob. I loved both opening and ending themes as well. Voice acting is full of energy. I enjoyed both voices for Ren. Billy West does a fine job as Stimpy. So does the guest stars/recurring cast. Aside from the occasional duds, it's still an enjoyable show. If you don't easily get grossed out like I do, this show is for you. And yes, I still recommend the Games Animation era. Definitely one of the most influenced cartoons ever. Unfortunately, those inspired cartoons doesn't hold a candle to this as they're more gross. This is gross out humor done right.

REN & STIMPY reminds me of another animated show - INVADER ZIM. A lot of people on the Internet might have you believe that INVADER ZIM is the greatest cartoon of all-time. It's really stupid, though. REN & STIMPY is also loved by the Internet but it is far better than INVADER ZIM. Still, the writing on the show isn't very good. The animation, especially in the first two seasons, which were made by Spumco, is great. I'm not going to deny that. But writing is more important. You can have characters doing crazy and weird things but if they don't say funny stuff along with doing funny stuff, the show won't be as funny, in my opinion.REN & STIMPY might have been the first cartoon of its kind but other cartoons borrow from it and really made quite a few improvement to the formula. A few examples would be SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS, ED, EDD 'N' EDDY, and THE GRIM ADENTURES OF BILLY & MANDY. Those are all meant for younger audiences and they don't feature the maniacal animation that defines REN & STIMPY, but they were funnier because they had good writing to compliment the animation. This is just about the series in general, of course. There are some very well-written episodes, such as "Stimpy's Fan Club" and "Ren's Pecs" among others. And another thing - I think John Kricfalusi did a much better job at voicing Ren than Billy West, or at least I like his interpretation of the character more.

OK so i am so proud to say its been 20 years since Nickelodeon created its first 3 classic Nicktoon's which is "Doug", "Rugrats" & "Ren & Stimpy". Yes! people don't think its believable that Ren & Stimpy is one of the first Nickelodeon classic's but its true it is. I am 16 now almost 17 and i do watch Ren & Stimpy. I first saw Ren & Stimpy when i was 4 so in 1998 my parents told me they use to watch it but i don't remember much until 2004 when i was like 9 or 10 it was on i remember watching it night and i thought it was extremely weird. but now when i watched when it came on in canada at 10pm and i found it very entertaining. It is a great show for kids and a classic comedy cartoon and i see why its that. Please check it out i suggest to anyone though from the ages of 13 and up :) its definitely not meant for kids you don't understand it until your older ;)

OH JOY!! Ren & Stimpy is indeed one of the greatest cartoons ever in the world. The show's humor was definitely the best, and the content of the episodes are classic. From selling rubber nipples to the great outdoors, "The Ren & Stimpy Show" is without a doubt one of the best cartoons to grace my TV set. If you have never seen this show make sure you do! For whenever you watch this show you will know this show is a true classic. Just watching the beginning theme song you know you are in for a show with goofy and somewhat gross humor that never wears out. I could watch an episode 10 times and still laugh at it because it's humor is timeless. You will not know true American Animation until you watch "The Ren & Stimpy Show".It deserves a 20 out of 10 but for now I'll give it a 10 out of 10
